Free Music Notes for Thoroughly Modern Millie (2002 Original Broadway Cast)

Free Music Review: EVERYTHING TODAY IS THOROUGHLY MODERN
Hit: 5 Stars

I absolutely LOVE this soundtrack. Seeing Sutton Foster perform "Forget About the Boy" at this year's Tonys made me run out and buy this cd. The music is great and Ms. Foster is simply adorable. "The Speed Test" is hilarious, and I really enjoy "What Do I Need With Love". I would highly recommend this soundtrack to anyone with an interest in Broadway musicals. Also, if you like Sutton Foster, be sure to check out her brother, Hunter Foster, as Bobby Strong, in Urinetown. The music in that one is great as well.

Free Music Review: WOW! There is only one MILLIE!
Hit: 5 Stars

I got the CD right after I got a glimpse of the preformance on the Tony Award celemony. The music is excellent, and not to mention the singing is excellent!
After I saw the show, I strongly suggest everyone in New York to go see it! If you are out of town, don't wait, order the ticket now on telecharge.com and go see the show! The performance is overwhelming, Sutton Foster was awesome! She is great at acting, beautiful, and her voice is truly a Broadway solo.
Anyways, get the CD and you will get the idea.

Free Music Review: sutton foster shines
Hit: 5 Stars

From the moment you put this cd in you will be enthralled with the music. Even the overture will make you want to lisen to it over and over again. Sutton Foster shines at the loveable Millie Dillmount. Gavin Creel as Jimmy gives out a sexy and seducing number for "What Do I Need with Love". Overall the cd is wonderful. From the show stealer "Forget About the Boy" to the romantic ballad "Gimme Gimme" to the song that reminds me of Little Girls from Annie, "They Don't Know". This is definitely a soundtrack worth the money.

Free Music Review: Roaring 20's Fun
Hit: 5 Stars

If you'd like a pick -me -up, this is the show to listen to. Great music, a wonderful score, and just fun to listen to. Sutton Foster is just great in the lead. (I think her first show.) If you saw the movie, well, not so crazy, but the basics are still there. It would help a lot if you can catch a touring company or even a high school production. Then the music would make more sense. But try it, you'll like it. I'm only sorry I missed the B'way original. But I think it will be around in revival; it's such fun.

Free Music Review: EXCELLENT
Hit: 5 Stars

I saw this show opening night of previews back in April, and despite technical glitches and the typical transitional issues that naturally occur when putting a show together for the first time, I loved it. I wasn't thrilled with all of the casting choices, but Sutton Foster, Gavin Creel and Mark Kudish were amazing. This show had everything the movie didn't, not at all a satire of New York and the musical theatre scene, but instead a celebration of it. See it and buy the recording, no matter what you hear.
