I bought this CD after seeing the performance at the Tonys. I must say that this is an AMAZING cast recording. It is energetic, and you feel like you are right in the theatre watching the show. Sutton Foster is amazing as Millie, giving a fresh, energetic performance, with flawless vocals. Gavin Creel's Jimmy is sweet and he is a very talented performer. The music fits the time era perfectly - but still sounds fresh! For anyone who like Musical Theatre, this is the soundtrack for you!Free Music Review: FABULOUS!!

The only exposure I had had to Thoroughly Modern Millie was from Sutton Foster's performance on the Tony's, but that alone moved me to buy the cd. Sutton Foster's voice is one of the BEST I have ever heard. All the songs she sings are sooo great! As for the rest of the songs I love them too. I wish I lived close to NYC so I could go see this wonderful cast perform it live but this cd will have to do for now. I definitely urge everyone who enjoys musical theater to buy this album!!Free Music Review: thoroughly amazing

Outstanding. Astonishing. The epitome of a happy, rejuvenating musical. Jeanine Tesori wrote some fabulously catchy tunes. This show has rhythm, character, and a great 20's flare. I never stopped smiling while I was watching, and the recording helps recreate every happy-feel-good moment. Sutton Foster is bright and brassy and has truly earned her spot on Broadway. The cast sings with conviction and an unsurpassed spirit. It just makes me want to get up and dance. Have fun.Free Music Review: Wow!

This CD is isn't like any other broadway CD: it's identical to the actual production! Every thing about this CD is perfection except that it doesn't last forever! Sutton Foster, accompanied by an outstanding ensemble and orchestra, is radiating with energy and incredible talent! Gavin Creel, with a highly expressive and amazingly clear voice is truly inspiring. Compared to Millie, the Producers is nothing! Buying this CD will definitely not be something you'll regret!

Why can't all Broadway musicals be like this? FINALLY, a group of people realized that musicals need a heart and not just attitude (i.e. The Producers and Urinetown). The music is beautiful and Sutton Foster is that rare treat: a true musical star. The rest of the leads, Gavin Kreel, Harriet Harris, Cheryl Lee Ralph, are dynamite, and this is the best cast recording I've heard in years -- lively, energizing, fresh. I can't WAIT to see the show. Don't miss this.
