Free Music Notes for Last 2 Walk (Sba1) (Dig)Free Music Review: Decent enough but not their best Hit: 4 Stars
I really don't understand why people come to Amazon to basically flip out and post horrendously negative reviews. If I thought a CD was that bad I wouldn't even waste my time coming to review it at all. I guess some of ya have too much time on your hands at work?
It is definitely accurate to say this album isn't as much fun as the old Three 6 Mafia, but those days are never coming back. Crunchy, Gangsta Boo, etc., forget about em! DJ Paul and Juicy J were always the heart and soul of the group anyway, the rest were just rappers. Think of this group as kinda like Megadeth (heavy metal band). It's always been Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson and a revolving door with their drummer and lead guitar player... for like a quarter of a century now. That's just how some groups work out.
Yeah the album is more mainstream and yeah that is kinda depressing but some of y'all need to take a xanax and chill out, the album's not THAT bad! People need to realize that Paul and J are OLD MEN now and they are not gonna still be using that satanic horrorcore sound. It sucks but at some point in life everyone has to grow up. They have won an oscar now and are under tremendous pressure to succeed. They didn't have any real choice but to make this type of album.
Personally, I still play this album a lot and enjoy it. The songs are generally either really good or really bad, just like most mainstream albums in any genre of music. I consider the production top notch, the beats bang hard if your car has a decent system, so what's the problem here?
Playstation is about the best Three 6 song I've ever heard. It's still my ringtone. Corner Man, On Some Chrome, Rollin, Dirty B*tch, and the possie song was good. I have a feeling some of you thinkin those songs aren't good is cause you spend too much time listening to their songs and not living that lifestyle. Experience all those lyrics first hand and then come comment on my review and say the songs still suck. As for "My Way," yeah it does sound really mainstream for Three 6 but once again like I said these guys are older now and they are just showin growth and some maturity. Nothin wrong with talkin about somethin other than sex and drugs in every song...
I have to rub it in one last time... if you think "Rollin" is a bad song then I know why. Your life sucks! hahaha
Free Music Review: It's crunk, but not as crunk as they can be... Hit: 4 Stars
i'm a big fan of three 6 mafia, lil wyte, project pat, juicy, frayser, etc... i'm down w/ alot of their stuff... Last 2 Walk is pretty good. i give it 4 1/2 stars... there's some standout tracks on here to me: "Get Ya Rob", "Rollin", "Playstation". there's some radio friendly tunes, "Lolli Lolli", "Hood Star".
this album pretty much delivers something for everyone, except for maybe the gangstas... you can see Three 6 marketing to different masses on this one... and there's some crunk tracks on here, and some hard gangsta stuff, like "Rollin" w/ Lil Wyte, and "Playstation", but we've heard better stuff than this, more dope beats then these. don't get me wrong, some of the beats are really dope, but there's an element lacking on this album, something missing... me personally, it's a good cd, def worth the $$ to buy it, but i just don't feel it's gangsta enough like some of their past albums.... like "World Domination".... i would like to see another cd like that. i would like to see some more of Gangsta Boo on some of the cd's, lord inf, etc...
i'm surprised they didn't do a song w/ Frayser Boy on this one.
it's a good cd and listen, but it needs some more thug/gangsta feel to it.. that is why i am giving it 4 1/2 stars.
another thing, what's up w/ three 6 and their artists, like Lil Wyte, all of a sudden puttin out cd's w/o the jewel case? i'm sure they got the $$ to afford the jewel case. this CD reminds me of buying a vinyl, it's just got basically a sleeve.
Free Music Review: 2 remaining members drop a nice album Hit: 4 Stars
After a few years off and a year of pushback dates for this album, a few members shorter, my 2 favorite of the Memphis group, DJ Paul and Juicy J, bring you a nice album in my opinion. Yeah not their best album to date, but I still think it's a solid 4 star worthy album. With 18 songs, you get 5 ok ones, and the other 13 are good, with a dew being real good, no classic songs though. Guests are a little heavy, only 5 of the 18 songs do not have guests on them. Production is nice and mainly the same old Three-6 sound, but why change what works. DJ Paul and Juicy J produce the majority of the album, doing 15 of the 18 songs, with Oomp Camp, Akon, and Dead Executive all doing 1 song. I'd recommend this to fans of the group, despite what the majority of the other reviews say, it is a good album.

Free Music Review: I love it Hit: 4 Stars
I love the Last 2 Walk album. I was a little skeptical at first but after I listened to it more I loved it. I am from Memphis and I have been a big fan since their hay day with Playa Fly and Gansta Blac. I do have to say that their best album to date was Best Known Unknown but I do like Last 2 Walk. I love growth and diversity. I have to say that they have ventured outside of their normal work but I love it just as I loved the way Outkast did different music. I know that they are reaching a newer audience and gaining more fans all over the world. I have been down since day one and I will always be down with Triple Six. Keep up the good work.
Free Music Review: 4 Stars for an album, 2 stars for a Three-6 album Hit: 4 Stars
This album received too much negativity. Is it their worse, yes, but it doesn't deserve all the 1 star reviews. Songs like I got, weed, blow, pills, and first 48 are all average songs, but rollin, click bang, and my own way are definetely above average, and (average) for Three 6 Mafia. Their old stuff is OBVIOUSLY way better, I mean yes comparing this album to those is like night and day. But you people need to remember we're rating this album by itself, we shudn't take off stars because of their other works. In light of where rap is today I'd still listen to this album over most other raps.
