Free Music Notes for Last 2 Walk (Sba1) (Dig)Free Music Review: Little Different Style But Still Bringing IT Hit: 4 Stars
I just recently picked up "Last To Walk" and even though I read most of the reviews on here that did not stop me. I mean seems like people are hating on this album big time. I mean they switched up their style a bit but still the same 3 six mafia I came to like. Few of my favorite tracks are My Own Way, I Got, That's Right, and On Some Chrome. 3 Six could have went with the usual formula that sells many albums but why so much hate on trying something new??? Great album keep um coming.
Free Music Review: Not The Best, Not The Worst Hit: 4 Stars
Being a fan of Three 6 for many years, its nice hearing them have some good production, but horrible how cd after cd they've lost member after member. Personally, I enjoyed the more wicked Three 6, better known as Triple 6. Seeing rap struggle to produce anything worth buying in the last couple of years I would recommend this.
Free Music Review: Good Not Great Hit: 4 Stars
I like this album above Most Known Unknown. It still has good songs like First 48, and Rollin. But without Lord, Koop, or even Boo they will never be Mystic Stylez or da End. This is just another commercial hip-hop album yet much better then Tha Carter III or anything by soulja boy. Good effort but defenitley not a classic.
Free Music Review: It shouldnt be called Three 6 Mafia anymore if its only Paul & Juicy Hit: 3 Stars
Im a fan of this group.. but they fell off badly since No Limit/Master P days... there are like 3 songs that i like in this album but everythin else is pretty much garbage.. they pretty much went pop.. after listening to this album makes me wanna go back n listen to my old Three 6 collection.. When there was "The Serial Killaz, Backyard Posse, Triple 6 Mafia, Prophet Posse".. back then when they made home made tapes.. They had a huge number of talented artist they couldve kept but its all about money n screwing them over... thats why this cd is not in a jewel case and no booklet, its just a cardboard n a cd!!!... If they wouldve kept Lord Infamous, Gangsta Boo, Koopsta Knicca, Skinny Pimp, Gangsta Blac, Killa Klan Kaze, T-Rock, etc etc they wouldve went huge but i think this is the end for them. Now they got that Lolli Lolli song and that song with Good Charlotte... are u serious??.. If you wanna hear a good Three 6 album, go with Mystic Styles, The End, chapter 2 world domination, CrazyNDaLazDayz -(Tear Da Club Up Thugz), When The Smoke Clears.. Whats funny is that on one of the outros i dont know if its on this cd or another recent hypnotize album but Paul n Juicy were thirsty for new artists sayin "We need new artist!!!".. thats when they are running out of ideas n gonna end 3-6.. unless they signed to Rinky Dink Records or apologize to Prophet Records (the new Prophet Posse).. I say they should work it out cuz the new prophet posse albums were garbage.. paul n juicy got the beats so they should get a group hug n apologize to them n work it out
Free Music Review: Disappointingly the worst Three 6 Mafia album to date IMHO Hit: 3 Stars
I have been listening to 36 since before Mystic Styles when they were still underground and not well known outside of Memphis, where I also live. I have been waiting patiently for this CD to come out and I was so excited when I was finally able to buy it today. After listening to the entire CD, I was disappointed. I expected this CD to have the great beats that 36 is known for and only one or maybe two songs have decent beats when normally there are 10+ songs on their CDs with incredible beats. The other quality of 36 that keeps me coming back for more is their hard and well thought out lyrics. In my opinion, this CD is much softer than the 36 that I have been accustomed to listening to and that worries me. I believe the fact that Crunchy Black and Lord Infamous not appearing in any of the songs on this CD has really hurt the group. Even the posse song that is normally my favorite song on their CDs is weak. I hope that future 36 CDs are more like "When the Smoke Clears" and "Da Unbreakables" with beats that pump you up and lyrics that are not only well thought out, but are harder than any other rapper/rap group that I have heard. I don't think that 36 is getting soft, but I think that they may be focusing to much on their other artists and have neglected working on their album.
I am not saying that you should not buy this CD, it is still decent, and especially for the $8 that I paid for it. Hopefully their next CD will more resemble their past albums which made them my favorite rap group of all time.
