Free Music Review: Really cool CD...if you like this you'lll love Fozzy
Hit: 4 Stars

If you like this Cd, you'll love the new Fozzy CD. Both haven't left my CD player since I bought them.

Free Music Review: A solid second release
Hit: 4 Stars

I really fell in love with TDG when there first single "I hate everything about you" was released. I got the album and I liked it pretty well. When I heard that they were releasing their second album I got real excited and couldn't wait to hear there new stuff. They added a band member, changed their look, but they kept the catchy rocking tunes that I knew I could count on them for. "Animal I Have Become" is an awesome tune, and a great first single for the album. They have matured since the last record, in their writing, and the whole atmosphere of the songs. Some of my favorite songs off the album are..."Pain", "Riot", "Over and Over", and "Gone Forever". I am only giving the album a 4 out of 5 because I think they will only continue to get better and that this is not their best yet.

Free Music Review: A true gem in the mines of today's modern rock
Hit: 5 Stars

Three years ago, a band made up of three punks from Canada decided to make a record which would release three singles and go platinum three different times. Tons of threes aside, the Canadian sensation Three Days Grace, with a new member, have shoved their amazing debut album to the side and put together what they hoped would be the exception to the sophomore slump rule. After all, when your first single ((I Hate) Everything About You) puts you on the map faster than anyone had expected, the expectations are high. Luckily, all their fans can sleep soundly, the foursome has delivered.

The opening track, "It's All Over" opens in a strange bit of techoish beats, reminescent of the opener to the debut album "Burn". Once the track kicks in though, you find yourself pulled in faster than you could have imagined. The album's first single "Animal I Have Become" is a welcome assortment of riffs that will please fans of the first album, and the the stunning "Never Too Late" gives the CD a ballad that the first one was sorely missing. Three Days Grace has also thrown in the typical rebellion songs such as the title track and "Riot," both songs illustrating your typical rock attitudes.

Three Days Grace has again produced a solid album and have perhaps surpassed their outstanding first CD. The songs are catchier than before, and lead vocalist Adam Gontier has clearly evolved as both a singer and song-writer. Emotion tracks like the previously mentioned ballad and "Get Out Alive" show how much stronger the band has become with capturing feelings in their songs and the album greatly benefits from it. This record feels sensational from start to finish and it's hard to imagine putting it away anytime soon. Let's hope the boys from Three Days Grace can continue this production and have incredibly sensational careers.

Pros - Definite improvement in vocals and lyrics, great songs
Cons - Maybe just a bit short, a problem affecting the last CD as well

Grade ~ A (5 Stars)
A true gem in today's modern rock mines, an album of the year contender.

Free Music Review: Sophomore what?
Hit: 5 Stars

Not unlike their first album, I picked this one up on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised. While one could say that the first album was overly radio-ready, the same can't be said for the second. That's not saying that they aren't going to have any more singles on the radio, though, but they clearly are more confident with their sound and the direction they want to go (as opposed to their label). Its easy to relate to a lot of the lyrics and, in a rare turn, they simoutaneously seem deeply personal. They're showing a lot more depth with this album, and while they're sound isn't particularly complicated, it achieves what it sets out to accomplish and with gusto. Some of the stand-outs for me include the single "Animal I Have Become," "Riot," "Pain," "Get Out Alive," and "Never Too Late." Great album.
