If I had to categorize this record, I suppose
"Rock" would be as good a tag as any, but that would
trivialize it. Someone said that writing about
music is like dancing about architecture, so
I'll content myself with saying that if you've
never heard Tim Buckley -- who died in 1975 at
the age of 28 -- "Goodbye and Hello" is surely the
place to start. Even people who loathe rock music
-- or who find that term oxymoronic -- may be
glad they gave this record a try.
