Free Music Notes for Lullaby Favorites: Music for Little PeopleFree Music Review: it's perfect Hit: 5 StarsWe are preparing for our first baby. It will be a treasure
Free Music Review: Perfect lullabies Hit: 5 StarsMy son has gone to sleep with these lullabies every night since birth (he's now 18 mos) and they still do the trick. The CD is the perfect length. We have tried changing to another CD, but keep coming back to this one.
Free Music Review: Best Lullaby CD Hit: 5 StarsMy daughter and I LOVE this CD. She is two and a half now, and we've listened to it at least a hundred times. It is so relaxing and beautiful. I'm buying today as a gift for a friend's new baby.
Free Music Review: Awsome musicianship, NOT too sweet or unvaried Hit: 5 StarsI almost didn't buy this because of the comments about Tina's voice being too sweet and the songs sounding the same. A sweet soprano could sound irritating if not well trained and sensitive to the music. This is NOT the case with Ms. Malia. She breathes new life into old stand-bys like Rockaby Baby, which I didn't expect to want to hear twice. She uses her voice as an instrument and works to create subtle and enchanting effects with the accompaniment - particularly striking are the pennywhistle and the sax. And as for the songs, the arrangements are wonderfully varied. It's SO much better than the Disney lullaby cd I also bought, on which so many of the songs are so synth-saturated that even with different singers they do sound the same.
My 20 month old son is captivated by the first few bars, and rarely stays awake for more than 4 songs. After he falls asleep I offer to turn it off and my husband always wants me to leave it on!
GET THIS!
Free Music Review: Sticky Sweet Hit: 2 StarsNot my favorite. Tina Malia's voice is a little too sticky sweet for my taste, and every song sounds alike.
