Free Music Review: Call of the Goddess...

The first time that I heard Tina's music was on Pandora. Let me digress and say that I have been a fan of Loreena McKennitt for years, and have craved and longed for the Goddess since I was a teenager. In retrospect, I believe that the feminine aspect of spirituality has been calling me for years. I have been to "Avalon" and the Chalice Well Gardens, and Tintagel, and Avebury, and have traveled the Michael and Mary lines in Southern England, with my good friend who lives in the moors of Dartmoor, which also feels like home. I have read the Mists of Avalon and many other Goddess books over the years. (I'm currently rereading Sisterhood of the Dove, by Maitreya Zohar, which I highly recommend) Anyway, I "bookmarked" Tina's song "Shores of Avalon" and downloaded it from Amazon. The first time I really listened to it on my ipod shuffle, I felt the same longing for the Goddess . It welled up inside me and put me in that space of being held by our Mother. If you also have a longing for the Mother, I highly recommend Tina's Shores of Avalon and her album The Silent Awakening. I have since downloaded both. I truly think it is time on our Planet to embrace the virtues of the Mother, those of the "6 Heart Virtues" which include; appreciation, compassion, forgiveness, humility, understanding, valor. This music, and Tina's ethereal voice and the beautiful instrumentation of the music is "otherworldly" and satisfying. IMO, it is time to embrace the fact that we have a Father AND a Mother - that both are needed to help heal us and our beloved planet-it is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, yes?
