Free Music Review: PERFECT for the casual Tina fan!
Hit: 5 Stars

When I was young, my rockin' mom taught me that Tina Turner was the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll; therefore I have always had nothing but respect for Tina. I was a teenager in the '80s when Tina made what could be the biggest comeback in rock 'n' roll history; and while I liked her (how could anyone not?), I wasn't what I'd call a "fan." But as I matured and realized what made truly great music, I began courting the idea of becoming a Tina fan. But I was having trouble finding an entry point. I owned the 10-song "Greatest Hits" CD which I bought at McDonald's, of all places), which was good not great, but I never picked up "Simply the Best," because it didn't include any of her older material.

Well, finally, a CD set has arrived that rolled out the red carpet for wannabe-fans like me to access all that is Miss Tina Turner.

The single version of "Private Dancer" is nothing short of spine-chilling pop perfection, and Tina's version of John Waite's smash "Missing You" has caused a deep Tina addiction in me. And don't get me started on how fabulous "Whatever you Need," "I Don't Wanna Fight" and Goldeneye" are. (In fact, the only low spots on these CDs are the duets. Bryan Adams? Give me a break! What a hack! And David Bowie, while talented, does nothing for me.) I am blown away. Tina is quite possibly the best female rock singer in American history. If you don't own this CD, get it NOW!

What a great collection of songs from one of rocks living legends, the great Tina Turner. This 2 CD set not only chronicles Turners greatest hits, but also shows off her vocal versatality and singing talent. She rocks on "better be good to me",pops on "typical male", sizzles on "in your wildest dreams", coos on "something special". From the growls of "river deep mountain high" and "whats love got to do with it" to the so so gentle "paradise is here" and " i dont wanna lose you" her voice shines bright and beautiful on all 33 tracks! The set spans 40 plus years of recordings, from the 60s "river deep", 70s "proud mary" and "nutbush city limits", 80s smash anthems "we dont need another hero", "its only love", "simply the best", "private dancer" 90s, "i dont wanna fight", and the emotional cover of john waite's "missing you" to the 2000s "when the heartache is over" and one of three new songs 05s "open arms" the music is fresh as ever and timeless. 45 years into her remarkable carrer Tina keeps on burnin!! Its a shame she is not recgonized for her carrer achievements by the various music award shows!! Hello AMERICA this woman has been around for 5 decades and has inspired just about anyone in music, there is no Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Beyoncee without Tina! Give the legend more credit she is a world ICON, Mega Star who like wine just gets better with age. ALL THE BEST TINA!

Free Music Review: From one of Tina's biggest fans
Hit: 5 Stars

I am one of Tina's biggest fans and I haven't stopped listening to this compilation. It is much better than her earlier greatest hits package, Simply The Best and showcases more of her musical catalogue. The new single Open Arms is an upbeat and happy way to start the double album.

I also like the other new track Complicated Disaster. I agree with the other reviewer that some of the songs, although nice to hear don't need to be on the album (i.e. Paradise is Here, Something Beautiful Remains, etc.). What's missing are some of her other hits like Look Me in the Heart, One of the Living (from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome) and what about Lovething from her Simply the Best Greatest Hits CD? That song rocks!

Overall, this is the ultimate Tina Turner Greatest Hits package out there and there's no question that this will do very well commercially. It debuted at #2 on Billboard's Hot 200 Album Chart meaning it will be around for a long time. I know Tina said she doesn't want to tour anymore but I'm hoping that the commercial success of this album will change her mind.

This double album is for all Tina Turner music lovers everywhere. Enjoy it.

Free Music Review: The best from a pop music icon
Hit: 5 Stars

If you grew up in the 70s and 80's like I did, you will recoginze and enjoy this 2 CD set. Tina Turner has been making hit records for over 40 years. I really enjoyed her older songs like Proud Mary and River Deep Mountain High. She has covered songs performed by other artists. Her cover of Al Green's hit Lets Stay Together sounds really good. Her music has been featured on movie soundtracks like the song We Don't Need Another Hero from the movie Max Max Beyond Thunderdome. Her hit Goldeneye was the theme song to the James Bond movie from a few years ago. Tina reached the height of her popularity in 1984 with songs like Whats Love Gotta Do With It and Private Dancer. Her hit streak continued in the early 1990s with songs like I Don't Wanna Fight and The Best. I loved her duet with Bryan Adams entitled It's Only Love. There is another duet here called Cose Della Vita. It is one of the few songs I did not know. It is a very good song that shows off the power and the subtle sexy quality of Tina Turner's voice. All the Best is a very enjoyable collection of songs from a pop music icon.

Free Music Review: Nadie detiene a Tina.
Hit: 5 Stars

VERY GOOD, A MUST HAVE, DON'T HESITATE.
