Free Music Review: Uniquely Tina!
Hit: 5 Stars

I've always liked Tina Turner, but I've never really gotten into her music, so this CD has been a real treat. As the first song--"Open Arms"--says, "Whatever life throws at you, your friend is here," and looking at the photo on the cover of the album, it does indeed seem that Tina is a friend.
Some of the songs are perfect for "a woman of a certain age," such as "I Don't Wanna Lose You," which speaks of the need, at this age, to find a real, honest relationship.
"I Don't Wanna Fight" are the words of a rather world weary woman, who just wants peace--and love.
The incredible "River Deep, Mountain High," with its soaring music and moving lyrics, conveys volumes about the emotional intensity love can bring.
"And What You Get is What You See" adds a lively, bouncy beat, which makes you want to get up and dance.
And there are so many others, which I am just getting to know.
This is an amazing artist, whose personality--gutsy, passionate, and, at times, vulnerable, shines through the music, giving it a style all its own.

Free Music Review: THE QUEEN IS BACK
Hit: 5 Stars

Tina Turner is without a doubt the most fantastically energetic and dynamic human being alive. She is 65 years old and looks like she is only 50 (maybe better).
33 tracks of nothing but TINA, TINA, TINA!!! (except for a smattering here and there of duets).
33 songs (including some new stuff like Open Arms and Something Special) that just remind us of how great she is. That voice, that unmistakable and remarkable voice. Those legs!!!
I love this cd. This is the finest cd in my collection.
However I do have only three minor complaints. First of all "In Your Wildest Dreams", on this cd, is missing the voice of Barry White. Secondly, "Private Dancer" is not the original length that was on the lp of the same title. And thirdly, why not include the songs "Twenty Four Seven" or "Look Me In The Heart" or "Foreign Affair" or "One OF the Living" or "Love Thing".
Regardless it is the greatest compliation cd ever made.
Thanks Tina and let's get those legs of yours out on tour.

Free Music Review: SIMPLY THE BEST!
Hit: 5 Stars

Tina Turner is one of the few living legends! I could probably name just a few living legends of today, Paul McCartney,Michael Jackson,Madonna,Janet Jackson,Little Richard,Smokey Robinson, and last but not definatley not least Tina Turner. She is truly has been icon for the last 4 and 1/2 decades. I have followed her work as far as I can remember. From Proud Mary to A Fool In Love to What's Love Got To Do With It?. She has been there and done that. I wish she would decide to tour again in the U.S. I would love to watch her perform again. Anyway back to the album, this album does contain all of hits of Tina Turner. They are missing quite a few hits from Ike & Tina Turner, Hopefully they'll release something soon with songs included all in one. But on this album you get all the classics, Whats Love Got To Do With It,Simply The Best, We Don't Need Another Hero,I Don't Wanna Fight, and so many more. I recommend this album to you!

Free Music Review: Gotta Love Tina!
Hit: 5 Stars

I was introduced to Tina Turner during the 1980s or as I write the MTV generation when music videos were an inventive artwork in progress. Gone are the days that music videos are even made but Tina Turner resurfaced better and stronger than she ever had before. I bought this compilation at a local supermarket for $7.00 believe it or not. When I bought it, I found out it was two disks. I felt like they were being ripped off because I got two for the price of one. Tina Turner is one of America's foremost songstresses. I love her music especially the song, The Best. There are others like Private Dancer, You Better Be Good to Me, I'll Be Thunder, What's Love Got to Do With It, Let's Stay Together, Proud Mary, 1984, and so many others. Tina, we love you and it showed last year when she was given our country's highest honor of being inducted into the Kennedy Center Honors for her services and commitment to music.

Free Music Review: Definitive set of Tina's hits...
Hit: 5 Stars

Even her misses are wonderful. In some ways, I wish she had a few more album cuts on this collection or maybe an unreleased and new number as well. Still, all in all, this collection is serious bang for the buck.

There's nothing like seeing Tina Turner live. Still, Tina's smoky voice and presence comes through even on the CD. This collection starts with early Ike and Tina songs, like "Nutbush City Limits."

Emotions run the gamut from burned out "We don't need another hero/Thunderdome Theme" and "What's Love Got to do with it" to dead sexy numbers like "Private Dancer" and "Steamy Windows."

The collection is beautifully remastered to sound great digitally. Saw Tina a couple of years ago on her farewell retirement tour and I'm going to say right now, she's been sorely missed. Glad she's brought this CD out. Definitely a must for Tina fans.
