Free Music Notes for All the BestFree Music Review: Great Hit: 5 Stars
I think this is one of the best compilations on Tina let alone any other artist. Okay sure it's missing linear notes. But most of her fans probably have these albums and lived through the history. Few compilations will be perfect, which is why I don't normally buy them. I wish people would stop complainig about this cd leaving out certain songs. It is hard for an artist to try to please their fans and themselves too. Most people complaining probably already own the other albums and singles. As far as it not including enough of her with Ike; I realize Ike got her started, but this collection is really about her solo career. Doesn't the woman deserve to have a compilation just about her. It's not called Ike and Tina All the Best. Get over it. Go TINA!!
Free Music Review: For once, a proper greatest hits collection! Hit: 5 Stars
I have never really bought too many Tina albums, I have always liked her voice and since seeing her last tour in 2000 i kept thinking when is the new greatest hits cd going to be released?! it only took 4 years(!!) but was worth the wait. For anyone who likes to have a general hits collection I would recommend this. Ok so a couple of songs may have been missed off but there are plenty of treats. I myself have always liked seeing her perform "proud mary" and was delighted to see this was included on this double cd collection. There are 3 new songs, which in my opinion always helps boost a greatest hits collection. Both discs are over an hour long and to me is of a good value.
Free Music Review: Absolutely the Best! Hit: 5 Stars
As a HUGE Tina fan for many years now, I'm thrilled to see any new Tina material surface. The line-up of this two-disc set would make any star proud. From "River Deep" to "What's Love" to "Steamy Windows" and "The Best", You hear Tina in all her blazing emotional glory. What's wonderful here is that her new material holds well when stood alongside with her classics. "Open Arms", while not too thrilling at first listen, has become a favorite of mine. Her work has reached a certain maturity and elegance quite becoming to her. Some older favorites are missing, but it would be hard to please everyone. This is a wonderful compilation, and a MUST for any rock fans' library.
Free Music Review: Raw Energy Hit: 5 Stars
This double album should not be confused with 'Simply The Best' also a greatest hits collection. This time out we have 30 of her greatest hits along with 3 brand new ones which all fit in quite nicely with the rest of the album. Only 2 are pre the 'Private Dancer' album - 'Nutbush City Limits' and 'River Deep Mountain Wide'(featuring her ex Ike). 'Proud Mary' was redone for the 'What's Love Got To Do With It' movie. The remastering is subtle but has a cleaner feel. It would have been nice to have a new studio version of 'River Deep'. Listen to her rock through 'Dedicated to Love'. Amazing vocals and well worth the price.
Free Music Review: YOU GO GIRL!!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I am so pleased to see Tina release a new album. I think with this album Tina gets to offer something to everyone that listens to her music. For people that like her high energy rock vocals there is Steamy Windows, The Best, and the new song Complicated Disaster. For those that like her more smooth melodic songs there is On Silent Wings w/Sting, Private Dancer, and Something Special. I can honestly say that I could not find a bad track on this album. All of the tracks are amazing. Even her new songs incorporate well with her older standards. This is truly Tina at her best!!!
