Free Music Review: Toby Keith is just...awesome!!

M'kay, I'm gonna take ya'll on a little tour of this Greatest Hits cd, and they really are some of the 'Greatest' songs ever =D
1.How Do You Like Me Now?!-5/5. I really love this song. It's a great way to open up this cd. The lyrics are just so cool and the beat will keep your foot tapping for awhile.
2.Country Comes To Town-3/5. The beat is a little annoying at parts, but i love it all the same ;)
3.You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This-4/5. Probably one of my favorites, but i listened to it a lot and it got old. Great song.
4.I'm Just Talkin' 'Bout Tonight-5/5. Haha..I really like this one a lot. Doesn't mean anything really to me, but hey I like it.
5.I Wanna Talk About Me-5/5. A nice way of putting 'shut up about yourself'...ha. just kiddin'. its a really awesome song.
6.My List-6/5. Man, you gotta love this song. It's about what he really wants outta life and how he has all this stuff to do but 'Start Livin', that's the next thing on my list'.
7.Courtesy Of The Red, White, And Blue-20/5. I can listen to this song 500 times and i won't get tired of it. The lyrics ARE the BEST on the cd, by far.
8.Who's Your Daddy?-4/5. I like it, and no, im not just saying that. The chorus is fun to sing along to on a boring day. Well, if i put it that way, anything is. The point is, its a popular song and I like it.
9.Beer For My Horses-5/5. When I saw the title, it made me laugh. I like Willie Nelson, so this was a perfect combo.The beginning is the best part of the song.
10.Stays In Mexico-4/5. Currently, Keith's most popular. Great beat and storyline lol. but yeah, its not my favorite but it's still well sung and put together.
11.Mockingbird-1/5. I really don't like this one much. It's an older song, but I really don't care for it at all. Big shocker, eh?
12.Go With Her-10/5. Love it! Great meaning. This says it all 'What you need to do if she'd gonna leave you, is pack up your things and go with her' Another highlight:'You don't stay with the one you can live with, It's the one you can't live without'
13.You Ain't Much Fun-3/5. A really upbeat fun song.
14.Should've Been A Cowboy-4/5. Really amazing song live, and a great way to end an amazing cd!!
Honestly, I really disliked Toby Keith the first time I heard this. My brother was like a fanatic so it's all i heard. It grew on me real fast. If you like any country at all, you'll enjoy this cd a lot. Just give it time ;)

At his best, as exemplified by his 1999 megahit "How Do You Like Me Now?!" Keith is simple and direct in the tradition of Hank Williams Jr.--aware of his limitations, able to thrive within them. "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)" struck a chord, though it differed little from the fist-shaking morale-boosters of previous wars. On the downside, Keith's formulaic tendencies can become tiresome, as it did on "My List," a generic celebration of life's mundane treasures. Sales notwithstanding, "Beer for My Horses" was no artistic landmark for Keith or duet partner Willie Nelson. By contrast, he and daughter Krystal have fun with the 1963 Inez and Charlie Foxx R&B hit "Mockingbird" (first revived by James Taylor and Carly Simon). "Go With Her" injects a different spin into the time-honored breakup song, wittiness absent on the gimmicky "Stays in Mexico."
