Free Music Notes for Arena

Free Music Review: A wizard, a true star too
Hit: 5 Stars

Todd has been a shaper and a sullen force for music in the last few decades. His music is like a pile driver at times and a smooth glass without ever hitting each other flowing in and out of style.
He enjoys life and you can feel it in his music. This album of music is one of the finer ones of his careers. Reminiscant of the review title with hard rock from his earlier NAZZ days. All I can say is listen to it. You will start moving with the beat as you grab something to use as a drum. A runt he is not.

Free Music Review: Vintage 5 Stars

Just saw Todd in concert Saturday (12/20/08) and he performed a major portion of this album and it was fantastic. After hearing this album in concert I just had to have it. Todd started out with some vintage tunes like I Saw The Light, and covers like Lunitic Fringe. Just a great night from start to end. If you get a chance catch this tour and you will not be disappointed with the "Arena" segment, truly vintage Todd rising up again. As always Todd's humor fills the gaps between songs!!!!!

Free Music Review: Back to the rock
Hit: 5 Stars

Todd has been a favorite of mine since the 70's, and I am thrilled that he is playing rock and roll on Arena. No a Capella or rap here, this is Todd Rock. If you liked Oops Wrong Planet you'll love this album. Arena challenges men's attitudes and actions, with songs like Gun, Strike, Mountaintop, and my new personal all time Todd favorite (saying a lot!) Courage.

If you are a Todd fan, you will love this. If you're not a Todd fan, you will likely become one!

Free Music Review: Todd Rundgren's Arena
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a review of the new Todd Rundgren cd Arena. I have been a Rundgren fan most of my life since I heard the Something/Anything album. I really like this new cd. I had overlooked the fact that Rundgren is a great guitar player and there is a lot of that on this album. I also love the way you hear more textures of the songs each time you listen. I always hear something new everytime I listen to it. Anyway this album is a delight to me and well worth the price.

Free Music Review: Thankfully it's Todd
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm still working my way into this album, but the Courage track is such pure, glorious, classic, instantly recognizable old-school Todd that it's worth the price of admission all by itself. At twice the price. And Strike, the AC/DC clone tune, is so much better than ANYTHING AC/DC ever did that it's a bonus. Buy this, if only for these two tunes. Hell, buy it if only for Courage.
