Free Music Review: "Real" Kids Having Fun

I just read a review of this album that complained that it "hurt Mommy's ears." As another Mommy, I can only say that this album is music to my ears -- and to my two-year-old twins' ears as well. These are real kids singing, not polished professional midgets, and I personally prefer their genuinely happy, albeit slightly off-key warblings to the slick sounds of the Mickey Mouse Club types. The little girl (or maybe boy) who sings "Itsy bitsy 'pider" makes me laugh out loud. If you want slick, this isn't for you. If you want real, buy it. P.S. As some people mentioned, the way I remember learning these songs were different in their style. But that is no suprise, my husband and I also recall different versions of these same songs from one another. I guess it all depends on who taught you the song first.
Regardless they are still basically the same songs as always, though some of the songs I never heard before when growing up though most of these I did.
My daughter loves singing along, though I am not quite as enthralled with the song prsentatione as she is. A 5 star for children though.

This CD was recommended to me and my daughter absolutely loves it. It is great to hear children singing and learning the songs. A couple times I find myself smiling as the children are trying to pronounce the words because it is so cute. My daughter loves music and she has several CDs. This is one of her favorites. We started when she was about 11 months in the car. The best joy is one day when you are driving with your kid and all of sudden they are singing along with the CD. I've purchased other music CD's for children. This is by far my 20 mo. old daughter's favorite! We had this CD for less than 24 hours when she was attempting to sing along. She hadn't responded like this with any other CD. When she hears the children singing on the CD, she beams and says, "Baby singing!" I also love that it is easy to actively participate with the songs. There's plenty of silliness too. I can see how this CD would be a hit with daycare providers. My 14 month old daughter and 31 month old son both both love this CD. My son often asks for songs by name...his favorites are The Wheels on the Bus, Where is Thumbkin and the Raining Pouring/Itsy Bitsy Spider Medley. It keeps the children's attention in the car every morning on the way to daycare and is a great way to start their day. I would highly recommend this CD, not only for your car (or van), but for playtime as well...it's far better than the tube!
