I bought The Live Anthology (4 CD)set by Tom Petty, and have not been able to put it down. It has all the great music most people already know and songs you want to know. Since there are 4 disc you never get tiered of the same song. The bonus part of it all is it is all done LIVE, so if you were not at one of the concerts that they recorded from ( I was at one) you feel like you were. Just a great sing, band and buy. Really amazing and full of mastarpieces...
From "Here comes my girl" to "Refugee", from "Mary Jane's last dance" to
"Lousiana rain"....and "Free fallin'", "Southern accents", "Breakdown"...and
many others. Four hours of great music, really Tom Petty and the band at their best. I was longing to have a box set like this. Hey guys, go get it !!!

The first disc started off slowly, but once it got going, I had to listen to the rest of the set non stop. (Kind of like any great concert.) And then I started from the beginning again. If you're a Petty fan, you already have this. If not, and you're interested enough to be reading this, just get it. It's excellent musicianship on stage regardless of genre. Thank you Mr. Petty for offering so much sound at such a righteous price.Free Music Review: get the deluxe if you can

This is a fantastic collection of hard-rockin, good rock and roll from a great band. The deluxe edition has a blu-ray with all 62 tracks.It has incredible sound ; i recommend listening in the pcm 24/92 stereo setting to realize it's fullest potential. Just one listen to "Melinda" with the sound cranked to the max should convince any skeptic. Any Tom Petty fan will be thrilled to have this puppy as a gift for the holidays/Free Music Review: Live Heartbreakers

I won't labor on and on about this anthology. It's great. It is Tom Petty at his finest, plain and simple, because it is live. Moreover, the quality of these literally historic recordings is awesome. You think you're at the concert. And there isn't too much audience wailing to dilute the music. IMHO, these selections are multidimensionally better than the studio equivalents.
Get it!!! You will NOT be disappointed.
