Free Music Notes for SwordfishtrombonesFree Music Review: stunning, brilliant, revolutionary, life-affirming - buy it Hit: 5 Stars
There simply aren't words. This man is a genius, and "Swordfishtrombones" is one of the greatest laurels in his crown. "Johnsburg, Illinois" is easily the most romantic artistic utterance since David Lean's "Brief Encounter." Buy this now, and buy a second copy for when you inevitably wear the first one out.
Free Music Review: If Rain Dogs is New Orleans, this is Johnsburg, Illinois Hit: 5 Stars
This album has a much different feel than "Rain Dogs" -- a desolate sound, like Springsteen's "Nebraska." Its arrangements seem more countryfied, and there are fewer drunken rave ups a la "Union Sq." and more backlot jams like "Shore Leave."
Free Music Review: Modern Sonnets Hit: 5 Stars
"Johnsburg, Illinois" is mainlined love. He is so lucky to feel the things he writes. His wife and family are lucky to be loved like this. I hope to be this rich one day. This song causes me to admire Tom Waits as a person, not just an artist.

Free Music Review: The best Tom's album Hit: 5 Stars
The best Tom's album. Full of energy. "Johnsburg, Illinois" and "Rainbirds" are among my favourite songs. They are simple and beautiful. I wish I could do things like that.
