Free Music Notes for Ultimate Toni BraxtonFree Music Review: The Ultimate Toni Braxton Experience! Hit: 5 StarsIt seems like only yesterday I was at rollerskating parties when Breathe Again and You Mean The World To Me would come from the speakers (for the slow jams of course). While many other fans hate the fact that I say this, but I really believe Braxton would NOT have been famous if it wasnt for Babyface and LA Reed discovering her (just look at how sucessful the other Braxtons were in the recording industry). Toni has always had the problem (up until The Heat) with a few strong singles and a lot of filler in her albums. That said, ULTIMATE TONI BRAXTON was a truly worthwhile purchase. We see Tonis evolvement as an artist throughout the years and of course THAT VOICE (which will, in my opinion, never be as good as it was during her debut). The strongest singles are of course from her debut, but other Babyface cuts like the steaming Youre Makin Me High and the sassy ballad from WAITING TO EXHALE, Let It Flow. I also enjoy the underrated, R Kelly-produced I Dont Want To. After bouncing back from bankruptcy, Braxton had a huge comeback in 2001 with the take-no-prisoners Darkchild-produced hit He Wasnt Man Enough. The only problem was, The Heat didnt really contain radio-friendly tracks (keep in mind that album rocked though!) besides the collab with Dr Dre, Just Be A Man About It. Toni works with the overrated Neptunes in the funky Hit The Freeway and DarkChild again in a great unreleased track Whatchu Need. Of course who can forget Tonis radio debut (why wasnt this included in her lackluster debut?), Give U My Heart with the incredibly talented Kenneth Babyface Edmunds. My favorites are: Love Shoulda Brought You Home (Babyface and Reed at their best...a Toni classic), Breathe Again, He Wasnt Man Enough and Youre Makin Me High (brings back memories of Jr high dances).
Free Music Review: Great Collection Hit: 5 StarsTook me a while to purchase this Greatest Hits set because I own all of her CD's....so, I guess the main purpose to this purchase was simply to get her older stuff that is remastered on here. Another plus to this compilation is 2 new tracks which are both very good as well and a club remix of Un-Break My Heart. My only question is where the heck is: "Spanish Guitar" and "How Could An Angel Break My Heart"???? But, I guess the essentials are all on here!

Free Music Review: Ultimately smooth! Hit: 5 StarsToni Braxton is a sexy R & B diva who can deliver the goods with a great voice and good songs. The tiny singer can belt out a sad ballad or an up beat dance song with the best of the them and, fortunately for us, her greatest hits have been packaged in one cd. The songs that got her started such as "Another Sad Love Song" and "Love Should Have Brought You Home" start out the set and follow chronologically through her career to such recent hits like "He Wasn't Man Enough" and "Just Be a Man About It". Two previously unreleased songs are included on this "best of" cd, both nice additions to Braxton's set of songs. Also included is a remix of her hit song, "Un-Break My Heart". The biggest surprise to me was the absence of two songs I really liked---"Spanish Guitar (which had some really cool remixes) and the beautiful ballad, "How Could An Angel Break My Heart". Other than these two songs being missed from the line-up, I am perfectly satisfied with this group of songs and will enjoy having it in my cd player. This is a must have for any R & B fan and a definite requirement for any fan of Ms. Braxton. Well worth your money!
Free Music Review: LONG OVERDUE! All of Toni's hits and rarities are on here!! Hit: 5 StarsFor those who lost or wore out their copy of "Toni Braxton", her debut, this album more than makes up for it! All those hits she had in the '90s and up to 2003 are on here! I still love Another Sad Love Song, Breathe Again, You're Making Me High, Unbreak My Heart and her other ballad hits. But I like her dance numbers such as "He Wasn't Man Enough", the no-nonsense "Hit The Freeway", "Give You My Heart" and others. Most of her hits were with Babyface and LA Reid, but I liked the ones she did with R. Kelly, 3 Boyz from Newark, The Neptunes, Rodney Jerkins (who really funked up her sound a bit in 2000!), David Foster, Keri Lewis of Mint Condition and others. Her vocal stylings and torch-driven delivery are what make these songs listenable. I also like the new songs she did for this album too. She's overcome bankruptcy and other problems and got herself back on top with more hits as an artist and platinum albums. This album justifies what made her famous the past decade. Please get this album soon when you see it on Amazon!
