Toni is not a jazz singer, never will be, and mcuh like Linda Ronstadt, Toni decided as a last resort to a forgotten and failing career(like Rod Stewart), she decided she'd be a caberet singer. Well beign a rock star doesn't qualify someoen to sing standards. Toni sounds more at home on dated funky songs like love will keep us together but on these swing standards ,well how other can i say it but, she lacks any sense of swing, or individualism.Skip this one, and if you need a Toni fix, buy one of her greatest hist packages, but she's no good at standards

Love it. Love it Love it.. Wonderful CD.. Please stay tuned for the ass that reviewed this CD below mine. This person known as Freak#1 is using ficticious names and trashing all Toni's CDs as well as many other artists. I have warned this pitiful excuse for a human being that He has been reported to amazon, and if he continues to spit out vile comments on Toni's music, or any other artists music, he will be tracked down and not only fined, but his life will become more of a personal hell that it already is.. To date we know he has written as many as 140 negative reviews in one day., Dont mess with us ,you sick demented jerk. You will regret it. Amazon is on your trail.... you will be caught!!! I promise you that...

This is a great cd--lush orchistration accompanied by Tennilles' soothing alto. She sings with feeling and does not just "read the sheet music" as so many other singers seem to do. You WILL, in fact, be amazed: Tennille sans the Captain is fantastic.
