Free Music Review: TOOL'S BEST AND SHORTEST ALBUM
Hit: 5 Stars

this cd is still great after six years of play from me.this wasn't my first introduction to tool but this is the album that really pulled me into their world of noise.the two tracks that are live on here sound like studio recordings with the exceptions of people screaming before and after the songs which makes sense as they pull off one of the best sounding live shows i've been to,and the song opiate would definately be on the soundtrack to my life, which is weird because it's making fun of how people blindly follow into religions they know nothing of and not thinking for themselves(not that im religious),and the secret song is pretty funny too.anyways if you dont own this then run and go get it as soon as possible,it' a classic-later

Free Music Review: Tool's first cd...
Hit: 5 Stars

...The beginning of a new chapter in the history of Rock music. This cd is the first of a new genra of Music. Between Maynard's Awe-Inspiring siren voice, to Adam's beautifully pieced drum rolls...this group was the first to prove that they didn't have to be the heaviest group in the world to be one of the best. One main thing that I love about Tool is the fact that they don't rush into thier music. They could start a song, and be halfway though a 10 minute song in mid-rage...and just stop out of nowhere and become silent, and take a deep breath just before starting the rage up again. It's just amazing how absolutely perfect Tool is, it's just so hard to explain just how precise they are, you'll just have to hear them for yourself...

Free Music Review: Too underrated
Hit: 5 Stars

This cd was never really accepted widely by the public. Tool was not major when they released this, and that should be the reason, because this is just as good as Aenima and Lateralus. It is heavy and light at the same time, showing how diverse their sound can be. Fear is a big target, and it is executed to perfection. "Sweat" is a very tough song, displaying Tool's start and introduction to their own ideas, which lead to their originality on all their other efforts. "Cold and Ugly", "Jerk-Off", and "Part of Me" are also showings of how they came to be. This is actually much better than Undertow, which seemed to focus almost entirely on fear. Get this if you are new to Tool.

Free Music Review: Size matters not
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of the best CD's of all time. Every song has great lyrics and vocals from Maynard, and unbelievable music. Allthough each song is great, the title track is easily the best. Years after an ill-fated visit to a fundamentalist youth group that warped my views on religion, I needed to hear it. The music is wonderful, and there's a valid point in the lyrics. The live tracks are great, and sound like a studio recording. Because Tool had the genius to put them on this album, I am for sure going to their next concert in my area. This album has literally changed my life, leaving a message that there are intelligent people who create hard rock music out there. This proves that quality counts much more than quantity.

Free Music Review: The Earliest and Greatest
Hit: 5 Stars

The earliest and best Tool C.D. is Opiate (in my opinion). These 6 songs combine such a blend of discombobulated and repeated lyrics along with the heaviest music that Tool has ever written. The C.D. moves away from religious material (as most Tool C.D.'s don't do) and tells about Maynard's (and the rest of the band's) hatred for the human race. Hush's lyrics are just a [upset] way to tell everyone that Tool hates them. Part of Me is about death and Cold and Ugly is about the face beneath the skin. Opiate has mock lyrics on this C.D. to combine raping with religion. If you are a Tool fan and dont have this, you should, and if you are unfamiliar with Tool, this should be the first C.D. you buy.
