Free Music Review: The ultimate 80's movie soundtrack

As a kid I have always loved eighties films like Top gun, flight of the navigator etc but the soundtrack for this film has always stood out. Full of eighties power rock, and the old movie soundtrack favourite(Kenny Loggins), it just takes you back to that time when everything celluoid was so much better back then.
Danger zone is sometimes the only reason why I would watch the film, the opening titles come on with the the atmospheric Faltermeyer score then danger zone blares out. Turn the dvd system right up........awesome!!
Playing with the boys is always fun to listen to, especially accompanied by a greased up Val Kilmer and midget jem tom cruise.
One of my favourite songs will always be sitting on the dock of the bay by otis redding and was so glad when they included it in the bonus tracks.
Take my breath away will always remind me of the cheesist love scene I have ever seen, its the only let down of the film. all billowing curtains and soft lighting.
Everyone who was young during that time and whom love the film should own this soundtrack. Its just the best

deceased 'Goose' steals the show. Is that why HE HAD
to be KILLED off?! Great soundtrack, especially Cheap
Trick, with their last single done with Jon B Brant
on Bass before the record company forced him out...

I do not have a particular liking for 80's rock nor am I a fan of the original motion picture. So with those two facts in mind, I think it's safe to say that I have an unbiased opinion compltely untainted by mainstream hype. The Top Gun Soundtrack is completly worthy of the flawless 5 star rating. It doesn't matter which genre of music you enjoy, the tracks on this anthology translate into every genre is one way or another. I bought this album at a whim when I saw it on sale for 10$ at Best Buy and boy did I get my moneys worth.Free Music Review: Oldy But Goody
