Free Music Review: Too bad they can barely sing.
Hit: 3 Stars

A really well produced album. If this was an SWV album I'd give it five stars, but as it is I can only give three. Kim's voice is novel and her singing is alright, but she isn't anything great. Actually it's shocking this group even got signed to a contract considering how mediocre they sound. Puffy laughed all the way to the bank, though, this album didn't even go gold, but it spawned two platinum singles ("Can't You See" and "Kissin' You") and two gold singles ("No One Else" and "Someone Like You"/"When Boy Meets Girl"). Like I said, their singing is so-so, but the production is so tight you won't even notice.

Free Music Review: A Overall Good Effort But Doesn't Stand Up to Thier Talent
Hit: 5 Stars

I have to say that i bought the sopohmore release from total before i bought the first but the second one was so good that i had to buy the first and i'm not in anyway shape or form upset with my decision in purchasing the record. my favorite song on the album is either "kissing you" or "can't you see" (featuring The Notorious B.I.G). Biggie'z rap verse on the album is phat and the soulful smooth kissing you ballad just puts you in that state of mind where....well you get the picture! I love "no one else" (featuring Da Brat) because the R+B remix is so much different and to finally here the original version of the track shocked me. i can honestly say i've heard 3 remixez constantly of no one else but never the original. my favorite remix makes the cut on "no one else" (puff daddy remix-featuring Foxy Brown, Lil' Kim, and Da Brat). I love the way the 6 ladies sound together. i also really like the background music on "when boy meets girl" and i love to death "don't ever change". TOTAL FOREVER

Free Music Review: A sexy, pure blend of grooves.
Hit: 5 Stars

I have both of Total's albums and I believe that this is the better choice. Total's second album has only 3 decent songs on it but this debut is finely cut with smooth slow jams and some good singles. My favorite songs are "Spend Some Time," "When Boy Meets Girl," and "Kissin' You," but all of the other songs are good. Don't buy Total's second album!

Free Music Review: Smooth Groove
Hit: 4 Stars

This CD is very smooth and laid back. I love Total's approach to R+B because they sound so divine. Pam's voice puts anyone in a sensual trance. They really lay it down. This is tight!

Free Music Review: Good Music, Good Album, Good Group
Hit: 3 Stars

This is a very good group. They are talented and have that sort of new 90's TLC thing going on but since TLC is back they better watch out. But they are okay.
