Free Music Review: UNLISTED BONUS TRACK!

The year was 1988. I was in the 8th grade. I started collecting 45s in 1986. I didn't start buying albums regularly until I got a CD player. At that time I was only loosely familiar with Toto. I could say about the hits... "HEY I like that song" but, with little exception, I couldn't identify a song as Toto. On the radio that year I heard a song called "Pamela" and I LOVED it. I went out the next day and bought the 45. The playing was tight and jazzy. The lead vocalist was awesome. Everything to me worked on that song. From that point I was hooked on Toto. Later that year I got my very first CD player. Of course one of the first CDs I bought was Toto: The Seventh One. I loved every song on the CD but I was disappointed... WHY?... well the "B" side of the 45, the song "the seventh one", was NOT on the album by the same name! I enjoyed that greatly enjoyed that song and to not have it on CD was tough...
Fast Forward to today... 19 years later I get the Japan remastered album of "The Seventh One" and sure enough it has 12 tracks now (originally 11) and the 12th track IS the song "The Seventh One". That is a frickin' cool surprise! I don't think I had heard that song since the 80s!
Note on the remastering... sounds MUCH better and fresher than the old CDs. It is a shame they don't release the remasters in the U.S.. Someday maybe. It isn't like they have to remaster it again since it was already done well here!
