Listenning to hard rock and new wave in the early 80s who would have guessed that TOTO IV, would have such an impact on me. The record flows consistantly from begining to end like the story of a crazed manic lover. The excellent guitar riffs and complex yet inspired melodies still bring chills to my spine. It reminds me of that first love and those powerful emotions and energy that I experienced at that time in my life. I was pleasantly surprised when it won best album of the year. The only album I like better is Prince's Purple Rain. Don't much care for most of Toto's other work however.
