Free Music Notes for New Ancient StringsFree Music Review: Beautiful music, superb performance Hit: 5 StarsIt's hard to find fault with anything about this recording. The playing is brilliant, the sound quality is exceptional and the music is sublime. It's like Debussy transplanted to Africa and played on indigenous harps with healthy doses of inventive soloing. This is the most refreshing recording I've heard in a long time, regardless of musical genre.
Free Music Review: soothing, trance-inducing music Hit: 5 StarsWhile not simple or monotonous, this selection of soft, rippling kora duets makes ideal background music to work or nap by.This should appeal to the New Age camp as well as fan of Coltane and Shankar.
Free Music Review: First recording was very good! Hit: 2 StarsI listened to the first 4 recordings but found the first one to be the very best. The sound was excellent and the rhythm was upbeat and together. I found in the other 3 that they were not coming together. The first instrumental would be great if you had a store and wanted to play this a few times during the day.
Free Music Review: The best cora recording ever. Hit: 5 StarsToumany has done it again. this time, he collaborated with someone who produces the softest sound from the cora, Djeli Moussa Ballake Sissoko. The Album is more than great. It vibrates your heart, it make your flesh creeps, it makes you love music. Bravo Toumany and Ballake.
