Free Music Notes for Live and in Living Color AlbumFree Music Review: Oh My God! They actually do that stuff live?? Hit: 5 StarsIncredible. This is the best live album ever. I've never heard anything like this. The opening; "Down To The Nightclub" (with a different drum groove by Garibaldi that on the studio version), "You're Still A Young Man" (those trumpets...) and "What Is Hip?", is followed by an amazingly beautiful version of "Sparkling In The Sand". And then, of course, the legendary 23-minute performance of "Knock Yourself Out". Lenny Picket's fantastic solo, followed by other sax and brass solos... and then it happens. Just when you thought it coulnd't get better, Chester Thompson (world's best keyboardist, for those of you who didn't know) beats the crap out of his Clavinet, lined through a wah-wah pedal - and there you have it; the greatest minute in the history of funk music. It blows my mind every time I hear it. Now, you listen to me... GET THIS ALBUM!
