Free Music Review: Trace definately Coming on Strong
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the CD I have been waiting for all year, and it was well worth the wait! From Hot Mama to Rough and Ready Trace has one hit after another. It's an adult theme CD. Not a song on the CD that I don't like. Hot Mama is a very good song but my favorite is ROUGH AND READY! I heard this at several of his concerts and could not wait for the CD for this song! The only thing better then hearing this song on the CD is seeing Trace do it live!

Coming on Strong is a song about a tough Cowboy falling and to hear Trace sing this song with that strong voice just makes you want to melt. Then Came the Night makes you feel like you are there and can visualize what he is singing. Very special song about the first time. I'd Sure Hate to Break Down Here is a song about leaving and running out of gas and running out of cigarettes and thinking about what he left behind and hoping he don't break down (in more ways then one). Missing You is about a Oil Driller working and just missing the girl at home very well done. One of Those Nights talks about having a good day after one night with her song. Untamed is about staying untamed, typical Trace attitude. Then I Wake Up starts about her and then he wakes up on the floor besides the bed. One Nightstand is a beautifully written song about a man sitting there with a bible and gun and which one is going to save him after he had a one nightstand. Baby's Gone is about a wake up call after his baby left him. Then we come to my favorite ROUGH AND READY. Makes you want to try to sing and dance along but those words come so fast....Favorite words in that song is Ain't no boy toy - I'll rock you steady - Rough and ready!!!

Buy this CD and you will not be disappointed. Greatest CD out this year!!!!

Trace's voice on this CD just makes you want to melt. Every song on this CD is about real life situations.

Free Music Review: 6 albums and still still stronger than the rest!
Hit: 5 Stars

Trace Adkins possesses a talent--and a voice--that few in Nashville have: he can make any song come to life. In a world of pop-influenced newbies who think they're God's gift to songs, it's nice to have Trace Adkins back in the saddle.

You've heard "Hot Mama," a tribute to housewives everywhere. The title track to this album is a humorous look at a tough cowboy being wooed by a "mushy-gushy" woman. "Then Came the Night" (much, much better than Tommy Shane Steiner's version) and "One of Those Nights" keep things sexy. "I'd Sure Hate to Break Down Here" is a little tongue-in-cheek number about a guy hitting the road to get away from a bad love. "Missing You" details an oil-workers pain of being away from his woman; "Untamed" is a song about a man's man living his life the way he wants to (think Marlboro Man, only more realistic, without the risk of cancer). "Then I Wake Up" and "Baby's Gone" provide some heartache. "One Nightstand" is a moving number about a man who made a bad choice, and must chose his fate. The final number, "Rough & Ready," is probably the album's best--a redneck tribute with some hilarious lines that push the limits just a little. (If you're a Confederate Railraod fan, you'll love it.)

Trace Adkins knows it's country. His voice was made for country music, and you just better be thankful that's all he sings. Yeah, the cover photo makes Adkins look like some kind of supermodel; but we'll forgive him, won't we? Yes, we will, because we all know that Trace Adkins is a real person, singing real country music. This album is probably his best. "Comin' On Strong" will keep you comin' back for more.

Free Music Review: Trace keeps getting better with age!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is by far Trace's best yet!! From the choice of songs, to the production ,it feels like Trace is going back to his roots. Under Scott Hendricks direction, this one hits you right between the eyes. From "Hot Mama"- which every woman in the USA hopes her man sings to her, to the sultry "One of those Nights", to "Missing You", which sounds like it was written with Trace in mind: this album delivers every emotion imaginable. In that distinctive baritone, Trace conjures up some powerful pictures in my mind. There isn't 1 bad cut on this whole CD- It flows seamlessly from cut to cut, to deliver a whole package. I can't say enough about it. Everyone needs to have a copy of it to complete your music collection. Way to go Trace!! He's finally getting the recognition that we have always thought he deserved!!
Congratulations to the Opry's newest son- Trace Adkins

Free Music Review: He's Definitely "Comin On Strong" with this one....
Hit: 5 Stars

From the first listen it's impossible to pick a favorite from this thought provoking new CD. Every song paints a picture and a story in your head as you listen to it. And as you listen to each track you think maybe the next can't be as good as the ones you've heard so far...but each one has an outstanding quality about it. This CD takes Trace back to the heart of country music and the listener back to the same memorable moments in their lives. There aren't many artists these days who can sing a song with as much emotion as Trace does and that's why many years down the road it will be his songs that people pop in the CD player to take them back to the times they want to remember.
Producers Scott Hendricks and Trey Bruce have a talent for knowing exactly what songs Trace can pour his heart into and they've outdone themselves with this CD. Bravo!!

Free Music Review: Comes on Strong!
Hit: 5 Stars

Comin' on Strong Trace Adkins

What a fantastic CD! It deals with more mature subjects with style. Hot Mama relates to the more-than-20, "settled" crowd, to remind us life isn't over because the kids come along. Untamed is a paradox of melody and lyric...a slow moving melody about being wild and untamed - that works beautifully. One Nightstand is a play on words that is at once bereft and heart-wrenching, and at the end, hopeful. I'd Sure Hate to Break Down Here is another play on words, this time about a guy with a broken down relationship and a brokendown car, but not brokendown determination. Then Came the Night paints a vivid, reminiscent picture, a cross between flashback and daydream.

The whole CD seems truly heartfelt and real. It was worth the wait.
