Free Music Review: Like his last one, Trace is coming on strong!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of those gotta-have-gotta-play-really-loud CDs in my collection. Trace is an all-time favourite, and every track on this collection - for me - he smacks right out of the park. And, the darndest thing?! He gets better and better wi' every release. Perhaps the primary reason I had to have this particular CD so soon is "Arlington". I live in Northern Virginia, and have visited Arlington on several occasions. My adoptive father and adoptive brother were both in the Marine Corps, and I work for a Government IT contractor with several retired military personnel. "Hooah" is a daily greeting in my workplace. We honour the military - the active, the inactive, those on long tours of duty away from their loved ones, the fallen, the fighting - every soldier, every day. "Arlington", and Trace's rendition of it, brings tears to my eyes and makes me proud of every soldier who has every fought for Old Glory. In these tumultous times with everyone fighting and bickering - right, left, and middle - it's refreshing to hear honours and tributes to those who rely on the support of those here at home. War is an ugly venture, hardly romantic. Still, it's a fact of life and we should pay homage to those who willingly give their lives to the service of their country and the freedom of their fellow citizens - worldwide. Obviously, not all of us are that brave... Instead of yammering against war and the military, come up with better alternatives.

I'm thrilled with Trace and Toby, Daryl and John Michael - and all the others, for their tributes to those brave enough to serve in the defense of this country and on behalf of those who desire freedom. How can one find fault wi' honour and homage when it's sung so beautifully?!

Free Music Review: Songs About Me
Hit: 5 Stars

Songs About Me is one of the best cd's I have heard in a long time. It will touch every emotion you have. Mr. Adkins can sing a ballad like no other, and as for honky tonk songs he's the one.
Arlington is a beautiful tribute to all the veterans that have given so much to keep us free. The title track Songs About Me, is a powerful song that makes it clear, forget about the stereotypes of country people and music, we all live and go through the same things in life.
Honky Tonk Badonkadonk just makes you want to get up and dance, and you will shake your badonkadonk.
Baby I'm Home is classic Trace Adkins. This song is guaranteed to get you in the mood.
My Heaven makes it clear heaven is right here right now, and enjoy life and be thankful for what you have.
I Wish It Was You, and I Learned How To Love From You makes you really remember love that has come and gone, and at some point in our lives hasn't there been someone you really wanted to be with but they were out of reach.
Metropolis, if your from a small town, sometimes there is nothing better then going back, big city life isn't for everyone.
Bring It On, haven't we needed or wanted someone to lean on and take away our pain, even just for awhile.
If your new in love, Find Me A Preacher will stay with you.
I've missed a few but this is absolutely a cd not to pass over.

Free Music Review: This is the best overall album that I have heard
Hit: 5 Stars

Ok, were do I want to start. I am and will always be a metalhead. I like the band like Black Sabbath, Ozzy, and some of the Nu Metal groups (get the point, the louder the better) even though I listen to heavy metal, I enjoy all kinds of music except for Rap(that is just plain crap for all that I am concerened) and I like to think that I know a good song when I hear it. And now here comes along Trace Adkins with is song about you know what, I had to laugh, because I got the song for what it is, making fun of rap music and having a good time. If you cant understand that, then you are just plain stupid and I can't help you.

I picked up this CD, because I liked Arlington Road and Song about me and I have to say that this is a great CD, not one bad song on it. Take it from me, if you like Song about me or Arlington Road, then buy this Disk, because you will not be disappointed, I am not a true country music fan, but I think that all the songs are just awsome on this CD and this CD just earned a spot on my mp3 player, along with all the hard rock songs that I have on it.

Free Music Review: To A Browning
Hit: 5 Stars

What a PROUD military wife you are - oh my ! No it doesn't glorify dying - it pays tribute to those, past and present - that have - and as I said in another comment - if you have ever seen Trace live - which you probably haven't to have said something like this about that song especially - he does that song with all the reverence and respect he has for the soldiers - alive or dead AND he also has a tiny disclaimer about people like you that put him down saying he is trying to make some kind of political statement and if he tried to muster up as much caring as he could possibly try and find in his heart for what people like that (and you) think of his motives he just really couldn't give one tinkers damn about what you think his reasons are. Toby AND Trace both are political in their beliefs - and I would rather hear theirs over people like the Dixie Chicks any day. Would YOU prefer to hear the Dixie Chicks views ? I sure wouldn't !

Free Music Review: Songs About Me Another Platinum Album
Hit: 5 Stars

This album has the songs every one can relate to....Songs About Me is a song about everyone of us....

Arlington is heart stopping and just beautifully done - there is no one that can sing this song like Trace with that deep baritone voice of his. It is a story of a soldier that lost his life and laid to rest at Arlington.

Find Me a Preacher, My Way Back, I Wish It Was You, Bring It On, My Heaven, Baby I'm Home, Metropolis, I Learned How To Love From You, and Honky Tonk Badonkadonk......just all awesome in their own unique way.

Need to release more singles from this....my recommendation for the next two singles would be Arlington and Honky Tonk Badonkadonk.

Buy this CD and you will not be able to take from the CD player. Better pick up 2 or 3 copies of this one!!!!
