Well she did it again. Tracy has made one awesome record again. I would have to say that this is still my favorite out of all the albums she has made to this day and I own all of them. My favorite song on this cd is The Promise. Everyone of the songs on this album is exceptional and you'd be crazy to not but this one if you are into this type of music at all.Free Music Review: One of my favorite singers

I love this album. It's a bit different from her debut CD, but it's equally good. The political undertones are still there, but they aren't quite as blunt as they were in her first disk. There is something more subtle, something softer, about this one. The sound is a bit different, too. It's a little closer to soul/R&B than folk, at least as I define them. It's very hard to classify Chapman because she's incomparable. I love every song on the disk, but the title track stands out. I could literally listen to this CD (and any Chapman cd) every day, all day. I sometimes do, in fact -- I'll put in my CD player and just let it play. It makes great background music, and creates a very nice, soothing mood at get togethers. In fact, given my diverse group of friends, it's one of the few CDs I can put in that everyone will agree on, which is high praise indeed.Free Music Review: I Tell It Like It Is

Like She said Heaven's Here On Earth. On this album Tracy Has made a new beginning, whit her deep and soulful voice and her meaningful lyrics is this whitout doubt her best to date. Give me one reason not to like this album and not to tell all you other that this CD is a must have, At this point in my life I am very bored by the radio music, so I turn on Tracy's music and all she leaves behind is smoke and ashes. I'm sorry to see that some people were disappointed with this album. It's my favorite Tracy Chapman album and one of my favorite albums of all time. Tracy's voice is sexiest thing under the rainbow... Of course GIVE ME ONE REASON is the track everyone knows and loves... It's good, but the real reason to buy this is SMOKE AND ASHES. Ooh! Sometimes it sounds romantic, sometimes tragic, but always honest. The first two tracks are rather lackluster, and I usually skip them. The rest of the album was touched by Midas, so grab your own copy now!Free Music Review: New Beginning
