I have been a fan of Trans Siberian Orchestra for a few years now. The Lost Christmas Eve, for me at least, is the best of the trilogy. This music has to be digested in small bites because there is so much going on. I enjoyed sitting down with the story booklet insert and following along with the CD. If you don't, then you miss the whole point of the music. For the first time I have tickets to their concert in Greensboro this December and I am so looking forward to seeing and hearing this rock opera performed on stage. The fusion of rock and classical music is very unique. I have given this CD as a gift and the person that I gave it to said that this was the best music that they have experienced in a long time. I would highly recommend not only this CD by TSO but all of the others as well.Free Music Review: Some of you are obviously confused....

Listen people... if you wanted a traditional Christmas album, and you bought The Lost Christmas Eve without doing your research, it is YOUR fault. Do NOT give this album a negative review simply because it isn't Bing Crosby or the Carpenters, or whatever it is that plays in every grocery store, shopping mall, and easy-listening station in America. Don't review it at all. You made a mistake. Find a hard rock fan and give it to them.
This is a Christmas album for rock/metal fans, and a fantastic one at that. I find it even more enjoyable than the first two. If you disagree with me, but still like their other albums (or, at least, this type of music), then by all means give it a negative review. If you would rather listen to "traditional" songs, stay away from this.

I absolutely love the fact that these hard rock/metalmusicians can take something as done and overdone as christmas music and put such an interesting spin on it!!!
Its unique,refreshing,its what the hard rock/metal
fan who love christmas music is looking for,They fufilled my need to try and fuse my two favorite types of music.
This cd, their 3rd christmas effort has its own story to tell,made my wife cry its kinda sad but with a message,
if you like the first two,this will not disapoint
also see them live!!! I am gonna for the 3rd year straight,you wont believe the show!!!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra makes Christmas so great. All of their albums, including the one that isn't christmas related, is awesome. I've seen this group perform live two times, soon to be three. Whenever I listen to any song of theirs I smile. They aren't the usual christmas songs but they take you into the music, they make you a part of it. I highly suggest this CD as well as any other one of theirs to anyone looking for a different flavor of Christmas music. Or anyone looking for something new to listen to. There are slow songs as well as upbeat ones. Every piece is beautiful though. If anyone is wondering if there will be more from this group, they are planning to come out with another CD soon. Keep your eyes out!
