Free Music Notes for Transformers - The ScoreFree Music Review: Highly dissapointed - Hardly any songs from the actual movie Hit: 1 Stars****Read the Comments people have made and my rebuttals. There seems to be some confusion.****
I have about 7 songs from the movie, as well as some with dialogue from some of the scenes from the movie. I wanted to buy this cd thinking that I would get the few songs that I did not have from the motion picture. I was sorely disappointed as when I received the cd most of the titles noted that they were different from the movie version. If I hadn't have heard the songs before I purchased this CD, then I probably would have liked this release a little bit more. The fact that I hear a song in a movie and purchase a cd thinking I will be getting the same thing I heard from the film, and get something totally different is wrong. That is like ordering a camaro online, and in my drive way, I get a sebring. I do not understand why they did not release the actual songs from the movie, that is very disappointing. I felt cheated listening to the tracks trying to find one vaguely similar to what was in the film, and only finding about two (You're a soldier now) and I cant remember the others, since I haven't listened to the CD since the day I received it in the mail. Beware, if you are looking for exact replicas from the original movie, you will be sadly disappointed. I love Hans Zimmer, and Steve Jablonsky should be more like Hans was in releasing Gladiator. Besides learning from him, he should actually release the music from the motion picture like Hans does. You don't see Hans releasing a bogus version of the gladiator soundtrack do you?
Free Music Review: Great Product Hit: 5 Stars I a fan of transformers and the music composed on the CD captures everything that i expected it to be. Thank you Amazon!
Free Music Review: Blown Away Hit: 5 StarsI was very surprised at how much I loved this soundtrack at first listen. I have not seen the movie, but I have heard a few other works by the same composers and bought this on a whim. I'm so glad I did. I am an avid gym-rat so I constantly listen to music while I work out. This soundtrack is perfect because it incorporates a lot of driving themes and heavy rhythms that you find yourself engrossed in quickly. As I said, I have not seen the movie, so I cannot comment on how well this soundtrack complements the cinematography. However, as a soundtrack buff, I can solidly profess this is one of the better soundtracks of 2007 if you like action/adventure music or just need some exciting tunes with which to be active. If you like Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, or even Harry Gregson-Williams, you'll most likely enjoy this soundtrack, as well. It reminds me of an upcoming genre, called Epica, which is video game music. Epica consists of, usually, driving beats and multiple, intertwining themes that start out separate and converge by the end. They give the sense of different "worlds" within a game (or characters within a movie, in this case), and you find the themes mesh together during battle scenes or other such climactic events. Usually a bit more technological meddling as opposed to full-blown orchestral composition. Highly recommended, even if just for a change.
Free Music Review: good Hit: 4 Stars Yes, I wish more of the classics from the movie were on this, nevertheless, if you like good rock and roll you'll probably enjoy it! We've had it for three weeks and it's still the first cd we reach for in the car every day (my kids are 12 and 9 and they love it too).
Free Music Review: Transformers orchestrial sound blows Star Wars away! Hit: 5 StarsTransformers and Star Wars "Revenge of the Sith" are my two favorite movies of all time.At least until Transformers 2 & 3....etc.The Star Wars scores dont do it for me anymore. They only have the Theme that is good. With the Transformers score and if you can find "The Wraith" soundtrack then you have the 2 best soundtracks ever. For as big as the Star Wars scores are, Transformers on the other hand orchestrates unbeleivably on half the Score. The sounds to ,"Optimus","Arrival to earth" and even the last one," No sacrifice, no victory" are just inspirational. Not to mention the others.Definatly an album to have and listen to for a lifetime! Transformers 2 due spring of 2009
