Free Music Notes for TraptFree Music Review: 0 stars. Hit: 1 Starsdont buy this album. just download it... actually don't even download it. its a waste of both money and bandwidth. this is junk rock pure and simple. its not music. period.
and before you draw to conclusions... no i am not a heavy metal / death metal fan. and no i'm not a metallica die hard fan nor a korn fan. besides they have almost everything in common. 90% image and colour. 10% talent / artistic value.

Free Music Review: Great Debut, So Where's Your Follow-up, Guys? Hit: 4 StarsTrapt are one of those groups that take criticism just for being themselves. No, they aren't exactly original. No, they aren't heavy (but oddly enough, they thank Slayer in the liner notes). Yes, they use a lot of hooks and riffs that sound recycled at times. But that's who Trapt are, and what they amount to on their self titled debut, is a pretty damn good band. If you hate modern rock in general, face it, this isn't gonna appeal to you. However, if you want some good, non-offensive, well-written music in the vein of Hoobastank or Linkin Park, Trapt are for you.
Frontman Chris Brown broods and vents about failed relationships and generic angst throughout the album's mere eleven tracks, with melody-infested, mature lyrics. While the band themselves aren't doing anything new, they are obviously competent. Like I said before, this is nothing you haven't heard before, but what makes this band truly stand out is Chris Brown's lyrics. If you've ever been through a tough break-up, or fallen out of love, you will find a lot of material on here to relate to, such as "Made Of Glass," "Echo" and "Stories." If you're familiar with the big single, "Headstrong," then likewise, "Still Frame" and "When All Is Said And Done" will appeal to you. One of the biggest, commercial, mistakes Trapt made was not releasing "These Walls" as a single. Not that they needed it, but I truly believe this one track to be the defining moment of the album. As good as some of these songs are, there are a few stumbles. Take "Hollowman" and "New Beginning" for example. Both songs go nowhere, really, and are hindered mainly by being too long for their own good.
Still though, when all is said and done, there is an abundance of strong material here. Trapt aren't breaking the mold, but they do this sound justice and do it just as well, if not better, than most of the groups you hear on the radio. However, this album is three years old now, and the band still haven't finished a second album. We're all waiting. As good as this album is, and even though it hasn't gotten old, I think a lot of us are dying to hear what they can come up with next.
Free Music Review: Trapt Hit: 5 StarsThis is a great band! I mainly bought the C.D. to listen to Headstrong, but I discovered that I liked the other songs even more! The best songs are, Made of Glass and When all is Said and Done. I will rate all the songs using stars:
1.Headstrong- 3 stars, great song, but too overoplayed.
2.Made of Glass- 5 Stars, one of the best songs, very catchy.
3.Hollowman-4 stars, great song, the only fault is they play the same thing too much in this song.
5.Still Frame- 5 stars, a very catchy song, never gets old, a get-stuck-in-your-head type of song.
6.Echo- 4 and 1/2 stars, definently a good song, something anyone could like.
7.The game- 2 stars, an o.k. song, but I could've done without it.
8.When all is Said and Done- 5 stars, this was definently the best song on the C.D., I listened to it over and over!
9.Enigma-4 and 1/2 stars, great song, very addicting.
10.Stories-4 and 1/2 stars, great song, doesn't get old.
11.New Beginning- 4 stars, great vocals on this one, but I could've done without all the extra space at the end.
Trapt has become one of my favorite albums, I definently think you should buy it if you want classic, never-gets-old rock. This is a winner! You won't waste your money if you buy it.
Free Music Review: Trapt - One of the best CD debut releases Hit: 5 StarsI first heard the song 'Headstrong' on my local rock station and immediately got interested in this band. A few days after this searching for their lyrics on the internet, I read through their website and lyrics and indeed liked what I read and saw. I wanted a further taste of Trapt. This is Trapt's debut album and they're in the process of working on their sophmore album at the present with a early 2006 release scheduled. This album self titled is one of the best album releases I have come across not only for the song 'Headstrong' which in my opinion isn't the strongest album but is a catchy tune and rockaholic fantasy. The songs that make the album into a solid release is three songs that have some important messages in their lyrics about occurances in our society in this day and age and they are 'Still Frame', 'Echo' and 'Enigma'. This CD comes with a enhanced CD-ROM version that is a knockout. All you need to do is submit your email address and you get into a live website with extra live appearances, and band photos and backstage video clips. The last song on this album is 9 mins long. The actual song goes for 3.5 mins and the rest is a beautiful guitar and synth riff that is break background music.
All in all this CD is not a one hit wonder but a testament to talent.
Free Music Review: Amazing album Hit: 5 StarsAccidentally feel across this fantastic album, impulse buy. Favorite album, hollow man and made of glass stood out. But every song this album - great. If you're looking for other bands if you like this one, try... My chemical romance, the used, incubus, taking back Sunday or another great album resident evil apocalypse. Trapt is one worth getting.
