Free Music Review: Worth it for Volume One
Hit: 5 Stars

Volume 1 besides the hits we all heard has some great songs by Dylan like "Dirty World" and "Tweeter and The Monkey Man." Roy's "Not Alone Any More" is one of my favorite tracks.
Volume One made this 5 Stars their 2nd CD seems more like extra tunes w/ some exceptions.
Volume 3 (there is no Volume 2), Roy has passed away before they started recording. "7 Deadly Sins" reminds me of an early Beatle's tune. To me it seems Dylan & Petty sang more on this CD than on Volume 1.
Unfortunately Volume 1 is the best material out of the 2.
The DVD has clips & interviews w/ the band well all except for Dylan. But it was interesting to hear how some of the songs were recorded. It good to know that Roy left out on top he deserves praises and respect.

Free Music Review: Traveling Wilburys
Hit: 5 Stars

The coming together of these very famous and talented musicians seems so implausible. The very fact that they did it, means the music must be listened to. These talented gentlemen did not disappointment. The music is highly reminiscent of an earlier period in Rock 'n Roll when it was much more listenable and pleasant to the ear. Many of the songs are also tinged with a good dose of humor or sarcasism, which is exactly what'd you'd expect to happen by a group of such clever artists. They obviously had a great deal of fun making these, and that comes across in their performances. Both the CD's are an absolute joy to listen to, and the DVD informs, entertains and delights in ways that are very hard to find these days.

Free Music Review: Once in a lifetime
Hit: 5 Stars

Twenty years ago I bought the album "The Travelling Wilburys" and loved it. It was so much in the spirit of the times. Now twenty years later I watch the DVD and listen to the extended version on the double CDs. Watching these incredible artists do their stuff so effortlessly and with such mutual respect and love for one another; it's spellbinding. Two of these greats have gone, but they certainly live on in their music. This set makes them all come alive again, and lets us revel in that once in a lifetime configuration they created. Thank God they did.
I sent this set to my sister in the States and she absolutely loved it. So you get two reviews in one. This is priceless, especially for the 60's generation.

Free Music Review: Essential Listening
Hit: 5 Stars

This is probably one of the most fun albums you'll ever own, period. The music is light and toe tapping and the lyrics are sung with tongue firmly in cheek. The blend of voices and styles are spot on and you'll find yourself beaming everytime you put on this CD. The DVD has some great footage of the albums being recorded, as well as some music videos. The extra tracks aren't too great, but are good for those who want more from the band. I can not recommend this album highly enough, I grew up on it and I love it just as much now. After years of being a deleted title I recommend you snap this up before it gets lost again!

Free Music Review: What a wonderful combo of talent
Hit: 5 Stars

This collaboration of guys with nothing left to prove musically is pure genius on the part of Harrison and company. The first CD, with hits like "Handle Me with Care" and "The End of the Line" is more catchy and commercial; yet the second CD holds a few gems as well. The untimely loss of Roy Orbison obviously had a major impact on the second CD.
With fun songs like "Rattled" and Bob Dylan's "Dirty World," the first CD has completely memorable music. Tom Petty's "Last Night" is a rock and roll song with country lyrics, warning of the perils of picking up a girl at a bar.
This three-part set is definitely a bargain and a must-have for Harrison, Orbison, Petty and Lynne fans.
