Rolling stone rated the first of these albums as in the top 100 and I totally agree. What is so wonderful is how this music came to be. Unlike the overproduced, overhyped cr*p that passes for Rock & roll these days. Muscians having fun, isn't that the way it's always supposed to be?
I like the bonus DVD. It shows how much fun these guys had making this music. No big studio, just artists jamming in the kitchen! Yeah there are folks on youtube jamming but these guys have talent.
It is too bad that more music isn't made this way. So get it while you can, you won't be sorry, and this package is a great deal, (two cd's plus the DVD for the same price as the CD's.)

FANNNNTASTIC! This set is the greatest way to remember and enjoy the amazing talents of George Harrison and Roy Orbison, who were taken from us much too soon! I hope everyone loves this set as much as I do! It's the best gift for any Wilbury's fan! It has a wonderful varity of songs!! The DVD couldn't have been better or more fun to watch! I bought two, one to play and one to keep! The shipping was super fast and arrived in time for Father's Day but I couldn't wait and gave it to my husband early! He thought it was just as fantastic as I did!
This set is a real winner in our opinion! I have not found a better or more reasonable price "any where" on this set!
Free Music Review: Oh, about the remastered recording...

I'm not going to rehash how wonderful these performances are but I WILL go on about how superb the remastered recording is. Back when these were originally released on CD it was in the dark days of digital music reproduction (the horrors of modern day Mp3 "music" notwithstanding) and the sound was a flat as a Lubbock County cotton field.
Now comes a proper presentation through digital remastering and these recordings have never sounded better. Your ears will delight in a beautifully thrown soundstage, in the sweet highs, proper lows and the no longer middling mid-range.
Order this release today. Your love affair with the Wilburys will be rekindled.

There seems to be a question regarding remastering when I purchased this set. If you question upgrading your old Traveling Wilburys releases, then do not hesitate to get this set before it disappears.
Vol. 1 is an upgrade from an already great recording. But Vol. 3 is the big surprise here. I never listened to this one much because for some reason I just didn't like it that much. Upon hearing the remastered version I now think that while this one is a small notch below the first, it is so much better now that it's been remastered.
The bonus tracks are very cool too.
The DVD is that it's worth it for a behind the scene look.

I found the Wilbury's cd/dvd set to be a journey of five of our most treasured artists who gathered under the helm of the the master guitarist George Harrison an ex Beatle with unfinished business and in this gathering he found that he could set the record straight, with his comrades under the banner of "The Travelling |Wilbury's" nothing was left to pass he captured the heart of the beatles in a surealistic way that Im sure he thought had been lost.
