Free Music Review: 5.1 Surround is totally unnecessary

For all of those who bemoan the lack of 5.1 surround sound, you should understand that 5.1 surround on all DVDs is very heavily compressed low-fidelity sound, inferior to the PCM audio on normal CDs, let alone SACD's. If you looked at the technical composition of DVD soundtracks on a computer, you would see this immediately. The 5.1 sound is a gimmick and you are far better off with stereo CD or PCM sound.Free Music Review: CLASSIC !!!!!!

Could be the greatest all star lineup ever....I listenED to this music over and over back when all I had were the cassettes. Now, with the cd / dvd, it was deja-vu all over again..only better......Every song gives me something! The additional songs are great too.......Fans of the Wilburys already knew this was great. If you aren't a fan, you will be after listening to Music Review: Very good productHit: 5 Stars I don't buy much music anymore, since they apparently add code that limits how many copies you can make, and I like to have a copy on my MP3 player, and each of my computers. I made an exception for this product, as it ties together great music from such a developmental period. It is well worth the money. I haven't tried making copies yet, so I don't know if it is copy proofed.

If you are a fan of Tom, George, Roy, Jeff and Bob you will love this set. I have both vol.1 and 3 on vinyl, but hardly ever listened to vol.3. I did not realize how good that album was. I have fallen in love with vol 3. The dvd with the music videos and the documentary is fun and very interesting. It is amazing to watch these artists at work. BUY IT...GET IT...IT'S THE BEST... I HAD THESE ALBUMS WHEN THEY ORIGINALLY CAME OUT and they sound even better in this long awaited set. The DVD extra is so much fun too! Just do not buy the used versions on AMAZON for $75, as was listed in june, that is a complete RIP-OFF, seeing as how the new sets at Borders, or on AMAZON are great price $25 to $30 range.
