Free Music Notes for Trio II (Two)Free Music Review: 3 Voices meant to blend together! Hit: 5 StarsI love every song on this album and it already ranks as one of my all-time favorites. Dolly, Linda and Emmylou's voices blend perfectly. Though Dolly and Linda sing the more high profile tunes, I believe it is Emmylou's "aching soprano" that ties each song together so well. For anyone who appreciates great folk music and wonderful harmonies...this is a must buy!
Free Music Review: Beautiful but repititious! Hit: 3 StarsI dearly love all three of these God-gifted chanteuses. I have adored Linda ever since she broke into music back in the late '60s. Yet, I must agree with many who complained that half of these cuts were on Linda's previous album FEELS LIKE HOME.I am a Ronstadt aficianado--love her immensely, but we long for a bit of new material. Why not pick up a few Beth Nielson Chapman songs? Love ya anyhow! Joe Johnson From Nashville, TN
Free Music Review: Soothing lullaby for my baby !! Hit: 5 StarsPlease don't take this negatively that I've used this album as a lullaby for my 6-mo old daughter since her birth ! I've not been a big fan of country music, but the sounds from the three country divas is beyond magnificent. It takes you from the blue mountains across to the grasslands, glides down the valley and lift you up to the clear blue skies. I listen to it several times a day and enjoy it every time. I'm also surprised that it is not played on the radio at all ! Highly recommended for people who likes harmonious and relaxing music. Great baby music BTW !! :)
Free Music Review: Beautiful Singing Hit: 4 StarsWhile it's true that this album is a bit of a departure from the original "Trio", these ladies have a long-standing reputation for versatility, reaching out beyond status-quo and defying strict classification. While it is also true that many of the songs are featured on previous albums, the reason is that those albums were recorded after "Trio II" was made and schedules would not allow for promotion of the album; therefore "Trio II" was shelved and it was doubtful that it would ever be released. Given that, it's perfectly understandable that the music would be used on other solo efforts. It's also understandable that it would take a great deal of time to get everyone together again to record an entirely new album. The nay-sayers who wish to remain in their stagnant, uninformed, unrealistic time-warp can stay there. The previous release of these songs does not negate their beauty nor the dimension that the additional harmonies give them when all voices are combined. This is still a very enjoyable album from three musical legends.
