Free Music Notes for Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of LoveFree Music Review: AMAZING!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
If you buy any Country CD this year, buy this one, as discontented as I have been with Country in the last 5 years, Trisha shows there is hope that it will come back to it's own, not since Patty Loveless have I heard such an incredible and complete no filler and fluff Country record by a contemporary country woman!!!, I don't know if radio will hitch to this trailer or not? and country fans can be very unforgiving ( you go Pop, and there weary to trust you again- Martina, Faith and Sara should listen to this CD to see how it's done!)Trisha has not sounded this good in awhile, she has always had an amazing voice, but with fiddles & steel in the forefront, she is completely in her element, Nothin bout Memphis is a real gem, "Sing you back to me" is a song for everyone, we've all been there and she knows it, she sit's with you and helps you through the pain, "Drown Me" is roadhouse at it's best!!, funky, rowdy and partyin!, to the point and blunt, not since Powerful Thing has she rocked this hard!, "This is me your talking to" is just this side of Heaven!, This has all the makings of a MASTERPIECE, my only question is now that she's back in Country, will she stay? I hope so, keep bringin music like this and I'll keep listening! WELCOME BACK TRISHA!, we missed you!
Free Music Review: I thank God for Trisha Yearwood. Hit: 5 Stars
. . . for showing how country should be done.
I love this album! She's redeemed herself for the mostly disappointing Jasper County. Leaning more towards traditional than contemporary, it's the perfect balance of old and new country, and I hate new country. Her voice is as powerful, dynamic, and full as ever. For vocal comparison, listen to Carrie Underwood's new album. I love Carrie but you can hear Trisha's soul in her voice, it's so much richer. You can't beat that.
From the up tempo tunes to the ballads, the arrangements and vocals are perfect. She can sing anything. Her voice is powerful enough to not be overtaken when the band is jammin', and soft enough when accompanied by just an acoustic guitar. Again, the band is first class and the harmonies are sweet.
This is the real deal. Not a bad song on the album. How many albums can you say that about? Album of the year contender, most definitely.
I would also recommend Josh Turner's new album, Everything is Fine, especially the cut with Trisha harmonizing. Great.
Free Music Review: Heaven, indeed! Hit: 5 Stars
I think this is Trisha's best album to date. Her seventeen-year career has seen such great albums such as "Thinkin' About You", "Everybody Knows", "Jasper County", and the country-pop "Where Your Road Leads" - but this one is even better.
It is, in turns, soulful, bluesy, and, of course, country. The whole album is great, from the uptempo title track and lead single ("Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love") the power-ballad and next single, "This is Me You're Talking To", through the beautiful "(He Don't Know) Nothin' 'Bout Memphis" and the serenly haunting "The Dreaming Fields". Other favourites are the captivating ballad "Let the Wind Chase You", the gentle honky-tonk of "Cowboys Are My Weakness", the foot tapping "Nothin' About You Is Good For Me" and "They Call It Falling for a Reason" and ends with the quiet ballad "Sing You Back to Me".
If you only buy one Trisha Yearwood album, make it this one.
Free Music Review: FINALLY..THE WAIT IS OVER..ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
IT IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!
After a few lackluster CD's Trisha returns with what is by far, the best CD of her entire career. I have already worn the CD out I'm sure as I have been playing the entire CD over and over since I bought it this morning. No fillers here. JUST PURE TRISHA AT HER BEST. The ballads will send tingles up your spine and the "toe tappin" songs will defenitely have your pedal to the floor. Each song is better than the one before and I am so happy that Tresha has finally found the right music, writer and producers to show off her incredible voice. Trust me this is one of 2007's finest and you will regret not having it as a part of your CD library. Just can't stop listening to it. Can't wait to hear her perform these songs live. Hat's off to one of country music's finest talents. CONGRATULATIONS ON THE WINNER YOU HAVE HERE TRISHA!!!!!!
Free Music Review: Amazing Improvement for an already wonderful artist Hit: 5 Stars
Throughout the years I've owned a couple of Trisha's CD's, but I can't really say I'm a huge fan. Just an average fan. I bought this CD to freshen up my music library, and because of the high reviews. It was money well spent! Other reviewers have said better what the album is all about, song by song. I'm just truly amazed to be so enthralled by the smoothness and clarity of her vocals, the soft and flowing ballads, and the lyrics that weave stories I can relate to. I have a ton of CDs from other artists that do one or two of those things well, but HURRAY to Trisha for finding the perfect blend of all three. She continues to top her previous albums with this one, showing amazing improvement for an artist who had already achieved great success.
If I don't buy another CD for a while, it's because I'm still listening to this one! Highly recommended!
