Free Music Review: INSIDE OUT--Chalk up one more for Trisha
Hit: 5 Stars

Trisha Yearwood has always been markedly different from most of Nashville's other female singers because, even with the business degree she has, she knows that it doesn't mean much if she doesn't produce music with quality and integrity. INSIDE OUT proves that her heart is with the music, and the music ALONE.

I honorably disagree with those who say that this is a return to the pop-crossover mentality of WHERE YOUR ROAD LEADS (the only album she's made that I wasn't wild about at all). Trisha is actually hitting the rock beat on some of the cuts, and once more it raises the spirit of her idol Linda Ronstadt. The fact that longtime Ronstadt guitarist Andrew Gold is featured on a few cuts and Don Henley backs her up on the title track underlies this.

Actually, any references that Trisha has made to Linda in her career have always been reverential and even witty in nature. Perhaps the bloom has worn off on "I Would've Loved You Anyway"; but then, there's the swamp-rock feel of "Love Let Go" and the reggae influence on "Love Me Or Leave Me Alone", which shows Trisha willing to buck the conventional Nashville wisdom, as she did with REAL LIVE WOMAN.

Trisha deserves all the support she can get. Like Linda, she's too great a singer to go ignored at the best time in her life. INSIDE OUT is a real winner!

Free Music Review: Stellar Trisha!
Hit: 5 Stars

Like a fine wine, I think Ms. Trisha Yearwood gets sweeter with time! Her new CD is just fabulous! I picked it up the first day it was out and have been playing constantly since then!

"Love Alone" is my favorite song on the CD, I think it would be a great single and it sounds great live. "I Would've Loved You Anyway" is a soaring ballad and a great testament to the power of love. "For A While" is an upbeat, happy-go-lucky sounding TY, it is great! The remake of "Seven Year Ache" is awesome. I love the inflections in TY's voice on "I Don't Paint Myself Into Corners" and the same with "Melancholy Blue", a tale of love lost. "Harmless Heart" is so my life it is eerie! Don Henley adds the icing on the cake by joining TY on "Inside Out". "Love Let Go" has a very bluesy vibe. In "Second Chance", my favorite line is towards the end "fate gives you wings", ooh, chills! As for "Love Me Or Leave Me Alone", ...TY brings this song to life! The CD closes with "When We Were Still In Love", a very simple, serene ballad.

...TY's voice is so phenomenal, we are all lucky that she chooses to share her wonderful gift with us. Thanks Ms. Trisha Yearwood!!!!!

Free Music Review: Another winner
Hit: 5 Stars

This album was released only a year after 2000's artistic winner REAL LIVE WOMAN. INSIDE OUT goes back to Trisha's brand of country found on previous albums, and that's not a bad thing. The first single was "I Would've Loved You Anyway", a nice ballad about still loving someone even if they knew how it would end. She has such an emotional voice that works well for the material, especially here. Her version of Rebecca Lynn Howard's "I Don't Paint Myself Into Corners" shows off her powerful voice. My favorite song is "Melancholy Blue", which is one of the saddest songs I've heard. "For A While" is a nice midtempo country song with funny lyrics. There so many other great ballads like "Love Let Go", "When We Were Still In Love", "Second Chance", Harmless Heart", etc. A surprising song is "Love Me Or Leave Me Alone", which she said was going to be a bonus track on international versions because it's so pop sounding, but it's great. Another strong album from Yearwood, this was in 2001, and I can't wait until the spring of 2004 when her new one is released!

Free Music Review: Country Music at its absolute best !
Hit: 5 Stars

In a genre dominated by Shania and Faith... Trisha Yearwood has often taken an undeserving backseat to two cross over divas. But with her last three albums, Trisha has stayed true to country music and her latest collection of songs on 'Inside Out' is the best country music album to date. It has everything! From funky, silly, fun songs like "For a While" where Trisha sings about Julia Roberts and Saturday morning cartoons; to powerful, earth shaking ballads, like "I would've Love You Anyway", "Second Chance" and "Meloncholy Blue". Trisha's vocals not only equals the vocals found on Faith's "Breathe" and Shania's "Come on Over", but she surpasses them, and enters the same league as Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and even Barbara Streisand. Her sound is so crisp and pure, that this years Grammy for Best Female Country Perforance should be locked.

This is Yearwood at her best. It is also Country music at it's best. A must have for any music lover this Christmas.

Free Music Review: Pure Class
Hit: 5 Stars

When I first heard Inside Out, I was amazed at how musical it is. From th first beats of "Love Alone" I knew I was taking a musical journey and I still don't want to come back. The first single "I Would've Loved You Anyway" is a number one hit waiting to happen. If only radio would get behind it. My picks for singles from this album are...of course "I Would've Loved You Anyway", "Love Alone", Love Me Or Leave Me Alone", and "Seven Year Ache". The title track should and probably will be relesed to AC radio. I'm not sure how it do on country radio, but AC would eat it up. I personally think "Seven Year Ache" has enough substance to be offered again to the public....If the record company would have the guts to do it. All in all this album is full of potential hits(#1's) and if promoted right it could be her biggest album yet. Way to go Trisha...you never miss a beat!
