Free Music Notes for Twilight Soundtrack

Free Music Review: makes the movie look even better!
Hit: 5 Stars

well, unlike most people here, I never read the books. I saw the movie by accident as I was trying to see Australia for the 3rd time but tickets had sold out. Even if that weren't true, when I know a movie is based upon a book I always watch the movie first. For the simple reason that EVERYONE ALWAYS says the book was better. If you see the movie first, you never get disapointed, believe me, I've been at it for countless years.

So, the soundtrack didn't disapoint me in any way and it's fitted in a super smart way through the movie so that it doesn's take any of the lighness and poetry out of it, even though on it's own it's sounds heavy. I think the way they put it just gave the right amount of seriousness that otherwise would completely be gone from a movie. The actors do a great job, but without a narrator (wich sounds preety annoying) there's no way to set the mood as well as in a book without music.

Perfect score and Bella's lullaby is gorgeous! I dunno how it's depicted on the book but if this wasn't to the author's liking she would've said so. She was really happy with the result so i'd say they didn't deviate from her ideas.

PS: the song and the shooting effects they used on the baseball scene actually made me enjoy baseball for the first time in my life! lol!

Free Music Review: OMG!! Scary!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I am totally scared of vampires, but as part of my 12 step program to become the greatest human being in my town, I had to watch Twilight. I nearly had a poop in me britches because I was so scared. Vampires look like people, but when the moon comes out they have fangs and bite people like that little rotweiler puppy in my cove. But instead of just biting you, they want blood!! I'm not even kidding about that!

So I sat through the movie with my blanket and Captain Safeguard(my five foot tall stuffed Manatee). I made it through the whole thing. As I was watching the film and eating some corn on the cob, I was grabbed by the soundtrack. There was some good music being played in this film. The song by paramore rocked and the Full Moon song was kicking like some of the best stuff Michael Bolton has done. Can you imagine Michael Bolton as a vampire? I know!!! Whenever they say Full Moon I expect vampires to try to get me. It's one of those songs that keeps me on the edge. Who am I kidding, I live on the edge. I front the best thrash polka cover band in eastern Nebraska. I'm going to rename my street the edge because I can.

So if you totally want to be scared and hear some scary music, buy this soundtrack.

Free Music Review: My reasons ...
Hit: 5 Stars

I love this soundtrack. I know that a lot of people have very strong feelings about the selected track list, but let me explain why I have listened to this album every day since I got it two weeks ago.

1) Robert Pattinson's songs are great. Yes, he mumbles. But let us remember the number of great musicians who are also mumblers ... Bob Dylan. Not that I'm comparing the two musicians, because I'm not. All I'm saying is that disliking a song because you think the artist mumbles is ridiculous.

2) For everyone who is complaining about the Perry Ferrell song ... it's the song that is playing at the prom in the movie. No, it's not my favorite song on the album, but I can appreciate it.

3) This soundtrack has introduced me to new music ... and I cannot fault anything that can do that. Blue Foundation is a fantastic band that I wouldn't have discovered had it not been for the disc. And although I have other Iron and Wine albums, I was not familar with this track.

Overall, I think it's a great soundtrack. Yes, I have read the books and yes Bella's Lullaby was not what I expected. However, I really like the piece. And the inclusion of the other classical pieces is great!

Free Music Review: Amazing Music!
Hit: 5 Stars

I just ADORE all the music on this soundtrack (except Rob's, haha) It's exactly what I like....techno-ish Rock. I've loved paramore way before this and they are so talented! Don't even get me started on Rob Pattinson's song...it, to be honest, was VERY pathetic. I mean...it was--everyone knows what I'm talking it about. It's like the most boring song in the history of the earth.

I kinda see what everyone's talking about how it didn't really match the feel of the book but I think that Bella would like those songs. And Edward (don't get me wrong i love him) I think his taste in music is weird. Who wouldn't like the songs from the 70s?

I thought Bella's lullaby was beautiful. I thought it captured everything edward would've put into it. Simple yet touching and beautiful. And that piece of crap "River Flows In You" is the most repetitive music ever. It gets ANNOYING after the first verse because it's that same tuneless chord over and over again. I am so glad that they didn't pick it. Anyways I think that this soundtrack reflects Stephenie's taste in music probably more than Edward's and Bella's but it's good.

Team Cullen 4ever!

Free Music Review: Amazing
Hit: 5 Stars

Love it or hate it, the film Twilight is a phenomenon -- and its soundtrack is probably one of the best in recent times. The songs were all perfectly chosen to complement their respective scenes in the film, and there are a few surprises, including star Robert Pattinson's entry, "Never Think." (A digital download of the album includes the bonus Pattinson track, "Let Me Sign," a bluesy, somber tune which is actually the stronger of the two.)

With bands like Muse, Mutemath, Irom & Wine and Paramore, you know you can't go wrong with this soundtrack. One of the best tracks on the album is composer Carter Burwell's original piece, "Bella's Lullaby," which is achingly beautiful.

Favorites include the aforementioned "Bella's Lullaby," and Pattinson's song, "Never Think," as well as Muse's hard-hitting "Supermassive Black Hole," Mutemath's "Spotlight [Twilight Mix]," Collective Soul's "Tremble for My Beloved," Blue Foundation's "Eyes on Fire," and Iron & Wine's, "Flightless Bird, American Mouth." Honestly, though, all the songs are winners. This is truly a must-have for music lovers. We can only hope that New Moon's soundtrack will be as good.
