Free Music Notes for Twilight SoundtrackFree Music Review: Really good compilation. Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this CD because I loved the movie, and I thought the songs were great at matching the moments in the movie. I was not disappointed by the album. With the exception of just a few songs, I listen to this CD over and over again in my car. I had never been exposed to Muse before, and I totally dig their song on here, "Supermassive Black Hole." I also love "Full Moon," the Black Ghosts contribution.
My only disappointments were Perry Farrel's song (and I usually like his stuff!) and the song sung and played by Robert Pattinson (just not my thing).
In short, if you liked the movie, I think you'll probably like the soundtrack too.
Free Music Review: Brings movie memories back Hit: 5 Stars
I thought that this was an awesome soundtrack. Movie soundtracks used to include songs "based on or inspired by" that were never featured in the film. Thank goodness this trend has ended. With the Twilight soundtrack, every song featured is in the film. I love all of the songs. While I listen to them I think of which moment of the film they appeared. Isn't that what a soundtrack is supposed to do-remind you of moments in the film? In particular, I love Full Moon by the Black Ghosts. I also loved Bella's theme. I thought about Bella and Edward in the trees and Edward playing piano for Bella.
If you loved the movie, then you will love the soundtrack.
Free Music Review: bonus tracks Hit: 5 Stars
I just purchased the soundtrack on a whim today and the songs really capture the different scenes in the feature perfectly. You can see the scenes play out as you listen. But the bonus tracks are what really captivated me. The bonus tracks, Robert Pattinson's songs, are startling and remarkable. His voice is so full of soul and life way beyond his young years. I was so taken by his songs; I was bewitched. Then I read the lyrics and was profoundly emotionally touched. The raw emotion in the songs are far beyond anything that I have heard in a while. If you have not heard them yet, go listen and allow his voice to envelope you. You will not regret it.
Free Music Review: THE ADVANTAGES TO SOUNDTRACKS Hit: 5 Stars
Many have stated that the love the soundtrack, hate the movie and feel the soundtrack is a sell out to some top indie bands. Let me just state, while there may be truth to this, if it wasn't for the movie, and my purchase of the soundtrack, it would not have made my become aware of MUSE, and thus purchase all their CD's...I have become fond of their music because of "Twilight" and SUPERMASSIVE BLCAK HOLE. Same hold true for "New Moon" soundtrack. While I was aware of "Death Cab for Cutie", it was MEET ME ON THE EQUINOX that made me, again, go out and by their CD's. So, soundtracks do serve a purpose...even if you hate the movie or the series.
Free Music Review: Twilight mom Hit: 5 Stars
It started out as idle curiousity - what's all the hype? My young adult daughter brought the book home to share and after the first chapter, I was hooked. How unusual to be considered a "groupie" when I could be the mother of any one of the cast.
The Twilight soundtrack was interesting. I'd listened to the playlist on Stephanie Meyer's website first. Honestyl, I hadn't really heard of all the groups but found the songs relevant to the book content.
Can't wait to see the movie. We'll be some of those crazy people waiting in line tomorrow night at midnight.
I must be outta my mind!
