I bought the sound track for my oldest doughter for Christmas and I barrowed it, I loved it so much I got online and found Twilight The Score and had to have it. I now keep that one in my car and the other one in the house so I can listen to them all the time. It's a great cd and I think it complements the movie quite well. I think they did a wonderful job putting this music together. Some of the songs are a little short, they could have used the whole song but each song holds to each scene to the movie but I still love it.Free Music Review: Hauntingly beautiful music.......

O.K. - obviously I'm a twilight fan. That being said, this CD is terrific. It's amazing how much emotion the score contributes to the movie. There is so much going on during the movie and so much great music, but it's not just the soundtrack (which is also terrific, by the way!). Just a note to those that may not be aware - this CD is instrumental, so if your looking for something like the soundtrack, this is not it. It is, however, a great companion to the soundtrack. I immediately enjoyed "Decode" by Paramore and I already owned the Muse CD with "Supermassive Black Hole" but I didn't know all the other groups on this CD. After listening through it a few times the songs all got me singing every one.
It's more emo than I imagined as Twilight's soundtrack, but in the end I really liked these songs and the atmosphere they set for the movie, even though the movie is mediocre standing alone at best.
The movie is also only good if you know the story already.

I first purchased "Twilight: Soundtrack" and was disappointed to find only one song on it by Carter Burwell, "Bella's Lullaby". I then discovered this CD, "The Score," which is exactly what I wanted: all of the beautiful, haunting, thundering music by Carter Burwell, that plays so fittingly in the background of the movie. The pieces on the CD are arranged chronologically to follow the story of the movie, which I enjoy, as it takes me through the movie again. Written by composer Carter Burwell "Bella's Lullaby" is a beautiful, deceptively complex piece filled with piano notes and violin strings. When I heard the first piano notes, I was instantly drawn inside a complicated love. A love that was full of tension and difficulty, but room for hope. I love the development of the theme...the different instruments that take it up and play with it and augment it and make it soar through the trees and bring it back down again to a beautiful private intimacy.
