This was marketed as a best of album, but it really isn't in the true sense of it all, in fact, it's more a collection of B-Sides and Rarities than anything. Different versions, remixes, edits and compilation appearances make up the majority of this CD, so while it is not a true "Best Of", it is a nice little addition to the completist's library. While I don't feel that some of the versions are nearly as good as the originals, it is still kind of nice to a different take on an old favorite. This CD should definitely not be used to get into the band, as it is not a good representation of their career, it is however a nice collection of unreleased and tough to find stuff. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the shortened versions ruin their best songs. Seriously, shortening a 12 minute song down to 5 minutes makes me glad I have the CD that the original one is on. However, I definately recommend this, both for newcomers to the band as well as Type O fanatics like myself. The new songs are pretty good. My favorites on THIS CD (not the full versions on previous CDs) would have to be "Hey Pete", "It's never enough", "Stay out of my dreams" and "Cinnamon Girl." Don't get me wrong, the other songs are among their best, but the fact they were shortened ruins them in my opinion.Free Music Review: A Great Starter For New Fans

I wouldn't say so much that this is a greatest hits album. It's more of a complilation of songs put together by the band to showcase themselves and to release some new material. Granted, all their singles are on here, but that's because the reason they released them as singles is because they liked them.It's a good collection, but by no means does it showcase them enough. With Type-O you either hate them or love them. All of their albums are pure black gold, so if you really want to get into the Type, go out and buy them. But, like I said, you either really love them or you'll absolutely despise them...so if you're torn...buy this disc and decide.
