Well, we've all been waiting for this one for quite some time. Type O Negative must be one of the most original bands in the history of rock music. You can't really classify this stuff. It has that melodic, gothic feel, but the lyrics have a tendancy to completely loop it around by making the songs humorous. One thing I love about Life Is Killing Me is the somewhat, upbeat feel to it. Many of these songs are alot faster and much more catchy. You'll find yourself singing along before you know it. The production is wonderful. You can hear everything from Peter's heavily distorted bass to Kenny's leads perfectly. You'll also find many soon-to-be classics on this as well. If you are a fan of Type O Negative, and didn't like World Coming Down, you will love this! That's all I can really say. Buy this, listen to it, and enjoy!Free Music Review: Life is Killing me...

Pete Steele is back and this is probably Type O's best works since Bloody Kisses..it has songs that sound like they're from Type O's old days..Slow Deep and Hard..I'm proud to say Type O is up to alot of good unlike alot of other bands who tried to go heavy again and failed to repeat how strong they sounded in the past...eh hem METALLICA.....the 1st song starts off with a slow groove then picks up into and almost thrashy pace and captures your interests right away then it goes for the traditional Type O Goth sounds and picks back up and repeats that cycle much like Bloody Kisses did...Angry Inch was a pretty funny song if you caught what Pete was growling...alot of the other songs were very well done...all in all Type O is still rockign as strong as ever and I hope they keep it this way...BRAVO PETE!Free Music Review: Type O Negative at there very best!

Type O Negative's new album is a splended blend of Pink Floyd, The Beetles, and Black Sabbath, thrown in with there own medicine. Their new album "Life is Killing me" easily beats its predecessor "World Coming Down". Their new songs are fast paced and to the point. Songs like "...A Dish Better Served Coldly" make you feel like an upgraded version of Pink Floyd just released a new album. "Todd's Ship Gods (Above all Things)" give you chills down your spine as the song speeds its way to victory. "Anesthesia" is the highlight of the album where frontman Peter Steele screams from the heart for the grand finally of the song. An amazing performance by the band in general. This album flows very nicely and does not dissapoint in any way. Great job fellas, keep it coming. I am ready for more!!!Free Music Review: Back in black no. 1...

Those dark Brooklyn boys make their return with their newest masterpiece. They come back to us in a time of need with their energy & music quality that is sadly lacking in today's music scene. Peter's sexy, deep vocals & bass are perfect, and the guitar work & keyboard are just superb as always.This cd remenises of Bloody Kisses with songs like "I don't wanna be me", "I like goils", "Angry Itch" give into their faster,punk rock tendencies and "A dish best served coldly", "Life is killing me", "How could she?", "The dream is dead" "Less than zero" lean towards their familar goth side. All and all this is listenable all the way through, couldn't say there's one song I would skip.
For anyone who appreciates good music, why not give this a try. For it certainly won't displease.

I rarely give five stars, and even if I did, I'd say it's still near 4.5. This cd is absolutely stunning. It's an example of another evolution, From Carnivore to ToN Slow deep and hard, to bloody kisses (which was more dark sounding, slow...), October Rust (a little different sounding, still held many dark melodies), World coming down which was an awesome album, and I'd say it was mixes between their previous works as well signs of new directions. Life is killing Me shows that ToN isn't afraid to bend their music and styles. Heavy Metal sounds from SD'nH mixed with rhythm sounds from October Rust and world coming down. The lyrics are just as powerful as ever, a definitely memorable CD for any person, from new listeners to old time listeners. Give it a shot!
