Free Music Notes for Life Is Killing Me

Free Music Review: Their best yet?
Hit: 5 Stars

I've heard this album described as the perfect combination of every aspect of Type O Negative. I agree with this totally. Some songs are a return to the 'old' hardcore/heavier sounds, many of the songs have the lush backing vocals and guitar sounds of Bloody Kisses, the keyboard-driven October Rust elements are present here, and the drum sound of World Coming Down is also a highlight. All complete with tongue firmly in cheek.
The standout tracks would have to be I Don't Wanna Be Me, Todds Ship Gods, I Like Goils (FUNNY stuff!), Life Is Killing Me,(we were) Electrocute, Anesthesia..ahh hell. It all rules. Buy it. Pay for it to be shipped in to your country. Age will not weary the redhead-loving slimfasting king of Prozaz and his little black elves.

Free Music Review: Pure Gothadelic Industrimetal At It's Finest!
Hit: 5 Stars

Ever since "World Coming Down" I've been anxiously waiting for this release to grace this boring commercial world of music because I just can't get enough of these guys. I've been a huge fan of Type-O since "Bloody Kisses" and this release did NOT disappoint in the least. It really sounds like the CD that should've come between "Bloody Kisses" and "October Rust" as it has a little more rock gusto that you heard on Kisses, but it really recaptures that true Halloween feel that is perfectly acheived on Rust. If you are at all a fan of "gothadelic industrimetal"...this disc is what you need to feed your never-ending hunger. 5 Stars...it doesn't get any better than this!

Free Music Review: Something to bring to Baghdad
Hit: 5 Stars

As a soldier in the Army who is heading to baghdad next month, i figured i would buy the new Type O record. being a fan of theirs since BLOODY KISSES, i get a sense of euphoria when i listen to them. I thought that WORLD COMING DOWN and LEAST WORST OF was good. But this one, LIFE IS KILLING ME, is the best by far. The first track features no vocals, but does come off as powerfull. The best songs on this record are ANGRY INCH, NETTIE, ABOVE ALL THINGS..., among others. Although i was surprised to find in the liner notes that former type O drummer Sal Abruscato contributed backup vocals.

This cd is for every Type O fan out there and definately somethign that is coming with me to Baghdad.

Free Music Review: Great new album- unbelievable
Hit: 5 Stars

As a longtime fan of TypeO, when i went to buy "Life is Killing Me," i was thinking, "well, it could never be even close to "October Rust," previously their best rated album. Well, I'm kind of nervous doing this, but I think Type O really did surpass October Rust with this one. They really show their versatility on tracks like "I Dont Want To Be Me," which goes back to the style they originally started out with years ago. If you are a hardcore TypeO fan, and are still skeptical, its understandable, but you'll have to hear this album to believe it. I can honestly tell you that i enjoyed every track pretty much the same. THANK YOU PETER.

Free Music Review: Multi-textured energies, raw & passion
Hit: 5 Stars

After hearing the whole album tonight I felt dazed, shocked and had to recover from the frozen feeling of ice that was the riffs, beats and dimensions of music and vox. I was thoroughly surprised at Todd's Ship Things (Above All Things) I was really digging that one, with that freight yard sound. At least thats what I thought it sounded like. After the cd was over, it was like woke up from dream of imagery and decay only to realize I was not dead but truly alive. I know now what it feels like to flatline only to be shocked back to life again. This album will give you a warmness in fire of passion and a frigidness of dark reality, a must for any true Type O Negative fan!
