I have an advanced copy of this CD, and I think it is fabulous. There is alot of really great music on here. Fans who only like October Rust, will be greatly disappointed if you are waiting for a clone of that album. This one goes back to its roots. And it is clearly a sound that the band is much happier with. They are in their element here. And, the Beatles cover, which was cause of some speculation on whether they could pull it off or not, is FANTASTIC. They definatley pulled it off. For those of us on the underside of the "real" world, this album is a must have. It is impossible to truly understand the meaning of this album unless you have experienced as much despair and hopelessness as it portrays. Finally we see the real Peter Steele. The words and melodies scream of the pain and eternal suffering that goes with being unprogrammed. If you don't buy this CD, steal it. Slow, drudgy, sonic guitar, distorted bass, creepy organ, rhythmic drumming & Peter Steele's baritone vocals. Is there much else you need? Type O Negative isn't a feel good band, they're the opposite end of the spectrum. They express all the feelings that are not allowed by society. They prove you can still be a man, even if you let these feelings show. This is music for anyone that can relate to that, or for anyone who digs hanging out at the cemetary on a stormy October evening.Free Music Review: A fan of TON

I just got the new Type O Negative CD and that is all I have listened to. My husband died on Tuesday and I received the CD on Wednesday. It is so strange how this CD is about death and all. I listened to it ALL DAY Sat. & Sun. The music is really great, not to mention the singer's voice. Anyone who doesn't like this CD can send me their copy because I'm sure I will have to order another one because I'm going to wear this one out!! But that's not a bad thing as this is still an excellent listen.....this is perhaps T.O.N's most sinister,slow,bulky,and mood setting album....really has a feeling of shear loss not too many other albums can compare with.."Everyone I Love Is Dead" and "Everything Dies" are really slowed down and impact the mind body and soul with visions of lost loves,drug addiction,and the end of all things...this is a very mood setting album and a fine one at that.
