Free Music Notes for World Coming DownFree Music Review: Their best yet Hit: 5 Stars
In my opinion, Type O's fifth is their best yet. The dirty, fuzz-laden guitars are a fresh diversion from October Rust's for the most part airy and meandering sound: this is a 100% hard album. And while the songs are hard, Kenny's keyboards make their presence known, injecting melody into the equation. Almost all of the songs are great, especially "Pyretta Blaze," "Creepy Green Light," and the title track. This is a fun album to sing along to, and it gets me feeling good despite the somewhat foreboding subject matter. My only complaint: they should've killed the useless seques and stuck some more tunes on the disc. All in all, incredible, I can't show my love for this record enough. Peter, please don't disband if the sales expectations aren't met; you're doing it all right.

Slightly Progressive rock/a bit of goth satire/nice night time mooding/ and yet still holds many even mainstream and goth crowds totally captivated. That alone says alot for Type O Negative filling the right gap for so many people. I dont know how the album rating games works. Its seems biased per stand out song too often. Impatient instant gratification... perhaps. I think this album lb. for lb. is as good as "October Rust". There are more impressive songs on "October Rust" but for myself... the journey is what I pay for. I'm not big on buying singles. There are some awesome songs here no doubt and no song grabs ahold of me as being mediocre here either. This album is really good. Get this and "October Rust" for certin and then give yourself a big fat cookie.

This is one of Type O Negatives best albums, I dont care what everyone else says because it is great. If you liked their albums "Bloody Kisses" and "October Rust" then you will definately like this cd. The best track is probabely "Creepy Green light" or "Everyone I love is dead". The lyrics are excellant, the bass drums and guitar sound so great its hard to explain its overall sound. Its almost magical how the instraments fit together with lead singer Peter Steels voice like a puzzle of crisp sound. The songs arent listed on the back of the cd but they are inside the booklet with lyrics and a poster of the band. If you like any of Type O Negatives music then buy this cd it rocks. Trust me..... BUY IT Music Review: Type O is Negative again Hit: 5 Stars
World Coming Down continues the evolution of Peter Steele musically. The album is more grim than October Rust and Steele's fascination with death and depression are definitely more on display here. The old monastic chant sound found in Slow, Deep and Hard is back and fits beautifully with the mood of the album. The first spin of this record felt disjointed (which is something that happens often to me) but on the second listen and beyond the structure and grim beauty of the album came through. The production is still tight without going overboard, although the fake intros are starting to get a bit old. As someone who has been listening to Steele since the old Carnivore days, it is amazing how far he has come since old classics like "Primal Meat Eater".
Free Music Review: Deeply Engrossing Hit: 5 Stars
I love this CD. I put off listening to the whole thing because the first song is long and a little slow, and I kept getting interrupted. Then, I started it from the last song and went backwards down the line, and I had no idea this CD was so intense. World Coming Down itself (the song) is an amazing, mesmerizing tune that I want to hear again and again. Others say it's depressing, but I don't feel depressed listening. I feel "touched" in some way. I can relate, I guess. And "Pyretta Blaze" is another cool tune. And of course, "Everything Dies". In all, I listen to this whole CD and love it from beginning to end. Wish I didn't get side-tracked those first few times I tried to listen. Well, at least I'm not deprived now.
