OK WELL YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS RECORDING CAREFULLY CAUSE ITS LONG,ITS THE FULL CD LENGTH 74 MINUTES.ITS GREAT I THINK A GOOD ALBUM MUSICLY AND LYRECLY.THERES REALLY ONLY ONE PROBLEM WITH IT FOR ME AND THATS THAT ITS QUITE SAD AND DEPRESING,A LOT OF THE SONGS ARE ABOUT PETERS LOSS OF HIS FAMILY AND DIEING ETC,BUT DONT LET THAT PUT YOU OFF IT.I DEFINETLY THINK FOR MOST TYPO FANS IT WONT BE THERE FAVOURITE ALBUM BUT IM SURE THERES A GOOD FEW WHO THINK ITS THERE BEST EVER.FOR SURE THOUGH THIS IS A QUALITY ALBUM,I HAVE ALL THEIR ALBUMS EXEPT FOR SLOW DEEP AND HARD AND THIS ALBUM IS DIFFERENT AS EVERY TYPO ALBUM SEEMS TO BE ITS JUST A BIT SAD THATS ALL.ANYWAY I REWCOMEND OCTOBER RUST OR ANY OTHER OF THEIR ALBUMS CAUSE THEY ALL ROCK.SEE YA ,THANKS.
Free Music Review: reminiscent of "...and justice for all" Hit: 5 Stars
Having heard lots of advance word on this CD, I too ran screaming to the store on Tuesday. Was never that fond of OR, it had its moments ("Haunted", the intro to "MGG") but it felt too romantic and loving to be Type O. That said, WCD feels much better. I love the tempo changes, the key shifts, the jazzy feel. Much appreciate the return of PS's trademark dark humor. Reminds me of the title album in that AJFA was a completely different direction for Metallica (and a place they've never revisited, unfortunately). This reminds me of nothing TON has done before, despite references to how similar it would be to Bloody Kisses and even SlowDeep. ...an appropriately bleak and thoughtful swansong, should it become their last recording.
Free Music Review: Type O is by far one of MY influences... Hit: 5 Stars
My name is Justin Carey and I am the Singer/Guitarist of a group called "Eulogy." Our group, though similar in many respects to Type O Negative, is most certainly influenced by World Coming Down. Their phenominal thunderous beats and innotation, followed by massively heavy, gothic-like breakdown riffs are greatly shown in what I believe is their greatest release to date. From a musician to other fans of other groups, this album speaks for most of the truth in our world. Our youth should not be subjected to the immoralities of selfish pop and rap "singers," where they are in truth sending a far worse image than simply the fact of depression and anger in today's society. Buy all the Type-O albums, and learn the truth of our world.
Free Music Review: Whats all this dissapointed cr*p all about? Hit: 5 Stars
ok people, i have read every single review here and I'm surprised at the amount of people who don't like this album. So what, type-o-negative aint commercial anymore (Ocotber Rust) theve gone back to the way they are before. its also very depressing which is what i love. its different, its slow romantic metal and i love it. it just makes me want to get out a bottle of red wine and drink till the end of the album. yes of course there are the little fill-in songs that dont make sense, i personnaly think there funny. any true type-o fan would love this album. its more of type-o then you can ever ask for. dark voices, slow guitar melodies FULL of distortion and organs that just make you feel hurt inside. the brillance is over-welming people
Free Music Review: World Coming Down Hit: 5 Stars
This album is one of the first gothic/doom albums that I've bought. I didn't now what to expect, but I heard 'Everybody Dies' and I liked that song, so I bought the album. Almost all songs are about death and loss. Peter Steele's voice is brilliant and haunting. Now when you read this, you might think this is very hardcore, but it isn't. this is a very slow album. And that's great. It keeps you listening to the lyrics, it let's you feel the music. The music is great, it's all one, it's very good produced. Every song is well written. as lyrics as music, like I said it's all one. so, if you are in to gothic-metal, doom-metal or are very open-minded like I am, than this is a very good and solid album that will keep you listening!
