Free Music Review: The best rock album ever

"Achtung Baby" is the best U2 album of all time and it still sounds fresh just like it did 15 years ago. When this album came out, Grunge exploded on the rock scene and took control. But unlike the great bands of Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden, U2 is still around to still play great songs from "Achtung Baby". Sure U2 might not be as good or even suck now with their corporate rock style simplicity of the 2000's, but they are still great in concert. To hear them play "One", "The Fly", "Until The End of The World", and "Wild Horses" live or on this CD is just a breath of fresh air. This is the album that should have won a grammy for album of the year, not HTDAAB. This album is strong from start to finish. Every song is upbeat, fast pace, and there isn't a bad song on the album. Remember we only have one life so don't miss out listining to one of the best rock albums of all time.Free Music Review: "Even better than the real thing", is the real thing, Achtung Coldplay!

Just sampled a sold-out Coldplay concert here in Dallas, Texas, and must say I was reasonably rewarded, they are a talented band..However, they are not U2 and never will be, though they've obviously hijacked/borrowed much U2 schtick..My mind wandered randomly at times during the Coldplay concert thinking, shoot, a month ago I could have seen the "real thing", U2 had just toured Dallas.."Achtung Baby" is my favorite U2 CD, it's an edgy masterpiece..I think Bono and the boys were inspired and influenced by time spent in cabarets in Berlin, Germany, the same way the Beatles were in merchant-marine basement bars in Hamburg..And this album has a Germanic militant sense of urgency to it, sadly lacking in more recent, more celebrated U2 releases.."You're so cruel" proves how relevant Bono is as troubador-poet..In most instances, his lyrics are as penetrating as Jim Morrison's are/were, the front-man for the "Doors"..God bless the Irish, they do have 8 cylinder hearts..On the David Letterman Show, Dave asked Bono to articulate the essential differences between an Englishman and an Irishman..Bono spoke, tongue firmly in cheek, "When an Englishman sees a mansion on a hill he says, someday I'm going to get me a mansion...But when an Irishman sees a mansion on a hill, he says someday I'm going to get the "S.O.B." that lives in that mansion"..The difference between Coldplay and U2..Achtung Baby!Free Music Review: wonder Music, WOW..

Ok, this is going to be the most dramatic, emotional, different, and cheesiest review you'll ever see me write; but I mean every last word. Achtng Baby: where U2 was at their finest, where they showed the world that they could do the unbelievable, where they showed that a bands' finest work is often their most underrated masterpiece(like Yes's Relayer). I can use all the fancy adjectives I want, but they will never explain how incredible Achtng Baby truly and really is.
What is it that makes Achtung Baby really stand out and above all the other U2 albums? For one thing, it was where each member got to show how talented all four of them were. The Edge already proved what he could do with the guitar on The Joshua Tree(in my opinion), but this is where he placed himself as one of the 10 best guitar players EVER. Bono wasn't an oustanding singer in U2's beginning(it was U2's energy on stage that got them started), but with each record he managed to improve. Thanks to Achtung Baby, he made his voice one of the most recognizable voices in rock. Adam was a very crappy bassist in the beginning, but like with Bono's singing, he managed to improve with the passing of each new album; but on achtung Baby, he proved how amazing he's gotten. Larry-well, let's face it-is a pretty terrible drummer, but he seem to improve a little on this album. All of this makes Achtung Baby amazing. This and the song quality.
Zoo Station blew me away after I heard it, and even though I wanted to hear it again, I felt it was better that I just listen to the rest of the songs. After every song, I kept wanting more and more. Even Better Than the Real thing was also incredible, if not as outstanding as Zoo Station, but still great. Song after song whirlwinded me into a state of awe and amazement. I couldn't get over how oustanding and beautiful it was. Achtung Baby is not only the U2 at their finest moments, but it is one of the best rock records that ever were. It's not challenging or hard to listen to, it's just great. Every minute is U2 that you wish you could hear in every record.
What interests me hear is how underrated Achtung Baby is. Don't get me wrong, The Joshua Tree was great, but compare it to this masterpiece? Don't even go there! If you think about it, a band's best album is usually their most underrated. Think about it: Yes~Relayer, Santana~Moonflower, Nirvana~In Utero, Joni Mitchell~Court And Spark, and U2~Achtung Baby. These were all artistic masterpieces that got nowhere near as much credit as they deserved.
Zoo Station, mysterious Ways, Ultra Violet, So cruel, and all of the songs for that matter are amazing. Each and every second of Achtung Baby is genuine beauty that you'll never hear in any other record. You must get this right away. it is a work of art that belongs in everyone's collection. Do you have good taste in music and don't own this? Then you need to slap yourself, grab some cash, go to the nearest Target, and by Achtung Baby-NOW.
Sadly, however, in my opinion, this is the last outstanding and really great U2 album. Everything after it is unfocused and boring(although, with a few good moments here and there).
