Worlds apart from the bands current dance beats and techno pop feel, October reveals an idealistic U2 who sought to change the world through song. Much like their following album, War, October has at it's foundation strong political and spiritual messages. Though musically not nearly as complete as some of the band's later albums, the album makes up for this with its energy and spirit. For those who feel message is as important as music, the album is a must.
