Free Music Review: even better than the real thing

Though this certainly ain't exhaustive, it proves to be an interesting collection of their songs that are rendered in an alternative, spirited and "progressive" form that makes for lots of listening pleasure. The beauty of U2 is that you can effectively take twenty or thirty of their songs, add a few variations (such as re-interpretations) and it makes for inspired, enlightened and enjoyable listening. So many site the previous twenty years as their creative zenith...but man, haven't they delivered some monumental goods in the past twenty!Free Music Review: A Fantastic Sum of its 90s Parts!

What a great compilation for the second half of U2's career! Although in my opinion, I feel zooropa and pop are the band's weakest efforts, this cd manages to pull out the best tracks from both albums; further adding to the magnificent array of pop rock that is u2. This is the perfect addition to the greatest hits set released a few years ago.Now you can pop this baby in, and play it in order right after the first cd, for a truly gratifying experience.

While admittedly not a diehard fan of U2, I remember checking out my sister's U2 cds as a teen and I liked some of the songs. This is a good compilation of what I feel is their better more talented era, although I love "Sunday Bloody Sunday" from the other "best of" U2 cd. David Rehak

Where is Walk On on this CD? It's the best song from the All That You Can't Leave Behind album. However, I was pleased to see One included in the album. One is their greatest song of all time.The Hands That Built America is outstanding. The meaningful lyrics and piano/guitar arrangement are perfect. Definitely worth it for this song.
