Free Music Notes for WarFree Music Review: The best memories I've ever had Hit: 5 StarsThis album brings me a lot of good memories as Rockpalast festival 1983. I haven't been paying attention at this overrated U2 2000, because they're an insult to my memories. I remember 4 young men, brave, strong, honest, with nothing but good hopes to chance the system.
There's a lot of memorable stuff here, as Seconds, Drowning Man, Surrender, "40", etc. Of course, Sunday Bloody Sunday and New Year's Day.
Thanks U2 for this album. I hope someday you'll realise how bad you've doing since All That You Can't Leave Behind. It's time to leave behind sunglasses, ego and all that shameful stuff.
Free Music Review: Politik Hit: 5 Stars
THIS IS THE REAL RAW U2 !!!!. You should take note of this. The most known song from this amazing masterpiece - Sunday Bloody Sunday - WASN'T A SINGLE. That's the real music's spirit. In those days U2 had something to say, they had energy, power, angry, hopes, emotions, fears, etc and all those feelings were put in an outstanding document of music. Unlike the sold out U2 2000, this is a must have experience. Songs like Drowning Man or Surrender are just out-of-body. Bono didn't need stupid marketing, didn't need to say "is our best album" and all that crap, he just needed to say some words he has forgotten in recent years: THE TRUTH.
This album blow away all that marketing machine they've been using badly. Which U2 I prefer ? the iPod one or this one ?...
HOW LONG TO SING THIS SONG
Free Music Review: Undescribable brilliance Hit: 5 StarsOne of the great albums to come out last century, this is totally awesome music frpm the famous band.
Perhaps U2 will leave a huge legacy of disappointed fans, who wondered what happenned to the band after " The Joshua Tree" who knows?
Perhaps it's because their first five albums were just so good.
Could it only be downhill after such classics as these?
Their musical direction changes may have pleased some, but those who longs for the early stuff will have to keep going back to classic stuff such as " Boy" & " The Unforgettable Fire"
They aren't the same these days, they have changed forever.
At least this moment in their career was captured so brilliantly!
Music the way it was meant to be played
Free Music Review: U2's best Hit: 5 StarsI wrote a review on U2's newest ablum, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" and forgot to mention a few things. I have loved U2 since first seeing the video for "Gloria". I can't remember how old I was, maybe 12, and that image has been burned in my brain. I am now 35, and still love U2. This album is U2 at their absolute best. I think everyone who is too young to remember or who weren't born yet and like the new stuff, to listen to this. This is truly a masterpiece. So much better then anything recent or from Achtung Baby. I give credit to U2 for staying together for 25+ years but sometimes I just long for bands like Nirvana, The Clash, or The Sex Pistols. Theese bands had a brief moment of fame, but are remembered for greatness. It is a shame that U2 is leaving legacy of medicore music that may just make everyone forget just how great they were at one time. Please, listen to this album, and see just how inspirational music from U2 can be.
